Red Rex

Blurbage:
“Your true name is Red Rex. The baddest of badasses, an alpha warrior beyond compare…” Or, at least, that’s what he’s been told.  Eighteen year old Gaige Dupond has his life all mapped out. Lose his virginity to Emily. Get married. Become a pro soccer player and travel the world.  His father, a pure-bred Deltarc from another planet, whose race is growing extinct on planet Earth, has other plans—either confirm that he truly takes after his warrior father, and not his dearly departed empath mother, or snuff out his existence.  All plans go awry, however, when the dangerous red darkness in Gaige is awakened like a beam of hell flickering from his right eye. Pursued by a vicious Deltarc bounty hunter, Deltarc tracking hounds and his father’s wicked minions, he loses his home, his life, all that he holds dear in pursuit of the truth. In his quest to find his mother, victim to a corrupt cryopreservation project in outer space, and right the wrongs inflicted on him, he finds something far darker—his own sinister motivations and the need to feed on something other than human food. His only companion, a lab rat refugee named Sojourn, Gaige knows he’ll never be loved—not in the way he’d always envisioned. Will he find the revenge he’s seeking, or will he become an evil replica of his father? That’s the last thing he’d ever wish on himself, but it may be his only option for survival.

Excerpt: The babe he now knew as Susan slowly sauntered toward Gaige. “Mm mm mmm,” she said, her eyes making a lazy sweep of his body. “Where do you want to do this?”
Gaige cocked his head, his erection straining against his filthy jeans. “Seems a little public here. What do you have in mind?”
“Come with me.” Susan grabbed for his hand.
The skin contact stung, sending a searing shock up his arm.  His right eye began to glow like a light switch had been flipped inside.
You’re supposed to do this when they’re asleep, Red Rex.
“It’s Gaige. Gaige.”
I hear your thoughts, his rat, Sojourn, said.
Susan stilled. “What did you say?”
“The name’s Gaige. I thought you might want to know who you’re going to fuck.” Gaige grinned at her, feeling very turned on.
Susan turned to him. “Whoa, I must be drunker than I thought. I’m seeing things. Your eye’s all red, like a holiday light bulb.” She snickered, stumbled and caught her balance, grabbing Gaige’s arm. “Oh my.” She stroked his biceps. “Aren’t you solid? This will be fun.”
He closed his eyes as the red darkness gathered from her touch.
She snagged his hand and pulled him down the street.
You’re supposed to do this when they’re asleep, the rat repeated. Don’t you ever listen? In the delta or theta, not alpha or beta.
“Shut up, rat, you’re messing with my head.”
I can hear your thoughts, stupid human.
“What did you say?” She turned again, blinking and squinting. “Yep, pretty fucked up. Now you’re glowing red all over.” She shrugged and led him into a dark dirt parking lot—the kind used during day hours and abandoned at night. “Here we are. My favorite place to fuck.” She backed up to the side of a brick building, and yanked up her skirt. Next she took his hand and guided it between her legs.
No panties. Gaige, feeling like a kid in a candy store, groaned, feeling her slippery heat. The red in him flared like shooting flames.
Susan laughed. “I really shouldn’t have eaten that E-bomb.”
“You took a happy pill?” Gaige said. I wonder what that will do to her brain waves. Gaige had never done drugs in his life but the effect of her ecstasy high made his erection stiffen to the point of pain.
“Just one teensy little tab, no big deal. And right now you look like a big red fuckable male and I am very horny. Feel.” She spread her thighs wide.
He plunged a finger inside her and moaned.
I’m telling you. She needs to be asleep.
“Shut up, rat.”
She frowned and blinked. “Did you call me a rat?”
“Uh, no. Sorry. Shut up, you’re all that. All that juicy. That’s what I said. Just feel what I’m doing to you, baby.”

That Night With You by Alexandrea Weis Tour

Madison Barnett spent one-night with a stranger that changed her life forever.
But when she takes a job at Parr and Associates as their newest architect, Madison has no idea that the stranger she has spent five years trying to forget is about to walk right back into her life. And what she hoped would be a fresh start turns into a perplexing dilemma.
Soon Madison’s life is sent into a tailspin as she tries to juggle the demands of her controlling boss, Hayden Parr, with her persistent desires for her long lost sexy stranger.
Then, just when she thinks all hope is lost, everything changes.
Madison embarks on an education in the art of pleasure that began five years ago in the bed of the man who captured her heart. But there is one little catch…
When fantasies become reality, passion can turn addictive in…That Night with You.

“Madison,” a sultry voice called over her right shoulder.
When she turned, Hayden was standing behind her. Her body tensed when his eyes peered down at Adam’s hand in hers. “I need to speak with you.”
Instantly, she let go of Adam’s hand. “Of course.”
“Is this about the designs?” Adam butted in. “Because I have a few more things I would like to—”
“No,” Hayden barked, cutting the young man off, “this is about something else entirely.”
Seeming relieved, Adam gave a slight shrug and then nodded. Letting Hayden take her elbow, Madison allowed him to pull her away. When they went to a corner of the dining room, Hayden let go of her arm, and his eyes surveyed the room before he finally spoke.
“I’m sure you already know the Martins are very interested in your design.” He lowered his head. “They were very impressed with you. I have to say, so was I.”
“Thank you.” Her voice was barely above a whisper.
“However, they have some changes they want to make, quite a few changes actually. I want to find out if you’re all right with that.”
Madison nodded. “It’s their house. I’ll do whatever they suggest…as long as it’s structurally possible.”
“Good answer.” He slowly grinned, appearing pleased. “We need to speak more about this tonight, but not here.” He glanced over at Adam standing by the buffet tables, taking in their every word. “How did you get here? Did you drive?”
“A friend brought me. She’s going to pick me up later.”
He hesitated, his lips smashing together in an unflattering scowl. “I’ll take you home. We can talk in my car.”
Her stomach tangled into a huge knot. “You really don’t have—”
“I said I would take you home.”
The hint of anger in his voice disturbed her. Great, the last thing she needed to do was piss off her boss. “All right. Thank you,” she added, hoping to appease him.
He peered over her shoulder to Adam. “Anyway, you looked like you needed rescuing.”
She followed his eyes to see Adam hovering over the buffet tables, inspecting the food and trying to strike up a conversation with an older couple next to him. The way his tuxedo hung on his lanky frame reminded Madison of a something she would see at a prom and not a fancy party. “Adam is harmless,” she declared, as she swung her eyes back to him.
The first thing that struck her was how the cut of Hayden’s tuxedo was nothing like Adam’s; he looked dark and tempting in the precisely pressed fabric. Adam’s high school attempt at formal men’s fashion only amplified Hayden’s magnetism.
“Don’t say anything to him. I’ll give him the bad news on Monday. I don’t need him causing a scene or bothering the Martins.”
“Yes, Mr. Parr.”
Hayden inched closer to her, and the smell of his musky cologne overtook her senses. “What did I tell you about that?”
Madison gazed boldly into his eyes. “This is business…Mr. Parr.”
The scowl on his face twisted into an intrigued grin. “I can see you’re going to be very difficult to handle, aren’t you?”
Feeling that tingle of electricity at the nearness of him gave Madison a rush of courage. “I was being assertive and not difficult. If I were being difficult, I would have refused your offer to take me home.”
His grin became a full-on smile. “And which one are you most often, assertive or difficult?”
She returned his smile. “That would depend.”
“On your mood?”
Madison kept him waiting before finally answering, “No, on the man.”
The laughter of a group of men by the patio doors distracted him. “Let me see to the Martins, grab your design, and I will meet you out front. Give me about ten minutes.”
“Ten minutes?” Her eyes took in the half-full dining room. “What about the party?”
“I didn’t come here for the party.” He abruptly headed toward the patio doors. His lean figure cutting across the room reminded Madison of a hero in a Greek play. Strong, smart, and with a dash of hubris in his step, he looked irresistible. As Madison watched his sleek body maneuver through the light scattering of guests, she felt that white heat rise up from her gut, obliterating all other thoughts.
Oh, I’m in trouble.

Excerpt:
He went to work on his shirt buttons. His collar was soon wide open revealing a generous show of muscular chest that make her hands itch to rip it off him. She diverted her gaze and curled her itchy hands by her sides.
“Have no fear, cowboy,” Nikki replied in a tone meant to disguise the warm flush that had come over her. “I corralled all my wild impulses long ago.”
“Did you, now?” He still stood in doorway, head cocked. “Somehow, I think you may have missed a few strays.”
“Maybe I need to make myself clearer. I have an aversion to cocky cowboys.”
Just keep telling yourself that, Nikki. Maybe if you repeat it often enough it’ll become true.
“Is that so?” His brows flew upward. “I can’t say I ever met a woman with an actual aversion to me.”
“Don’t take it personally. It’s nothing against you in particular, but to your type.”
“And what do you think you know about my type?”
“Since I don’t have a pole handy, enough to keep you at arms-length. Besides that, this whole line of conversation is entirely inappropriate in light of professional ethics, don’t you think? You are my attorney, after all.”
“Well, darlin’,” he scratched his unshaven jaw, “there’s a little hitch to that.”
“What do you mean? You said you’d help me.”
“And I will, but you can’t engage my professional services until I know who you are.”
“I’ve told you who I am!” she insisted.
“Sweetheart, I’m a lawyer, and according to the law, your claim don’t weigh without authentication.”
“Authentication?”
“Proof.”
“So what are you saying? That you don’t believe me?”
“I’m not saying that at all. Only that our professional relationship will commence once you get your I.D. In the interim,” His gaze slid over her in a way that threatened to melt her insides, “you’d best find yourself a nice, long, sturdy pole.”

***MEET P.J.***

I was born in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri named Bridgeton. During my time in Missouri, I explored the Ozarks, swam in the Mississippi River, and played kickball and endless games of hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. Spending summers in Kentucky with my grandmother, Ruth, are the fondest childhood memories for me.

At the age of thirteen, my family moved to Wisconsin to learn to farm. Yes, learn to farm! That was interesting. Taking city kids and throwing them on a farm with twenty-eight cows purchased from the humane society because they had been abused was interesting. I learned to milk cows, the ins and outs of breeding and feeding schedules, the never ending haying in the summer, and trying to stay warm in the winter. Our first winter in Wisconsin we had thirty-six inches of snow in one storm and were snowed in our house for three days! Needless to say, I wasn’t loving Wisconsin.

I am now married with four children and three grandchildren. I have learned to love Wisconsin, though I still hate snow. Wisconsin and the United States are beautiful, and my husband and I travel around by motorcycle seeing new sites and meeting new people. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are interested in where we are going and what we have seen along the way. At every gas station, restaurant, and hotel, we have people come up to us and ask us about what we are doing as well as offer advice on which roads in the area are better than others.
