Goodreads Blurb:
Maya Rousseau's fantasy vacation in Avignon, France, heats up when an eccentric enchantress tricks her into drinking mojo-laced absinthe. An unexpected encounter with the green fairy causes Maya's reality to have a serious meltdown. She travels back in time and wakes up naked in the bed of her favorite bad-boy Bohemian artist, the tall, dark and mysterious Andre Bosco. There's nothing wrong with that-except it's 1903. For Andre, it's love at first sight. He begs Maya to become his cherished model, muse and lover. The chemistry and shared passion between them are overwhelming. Andre's a generous-hearted dream man, but there's a catch. Every hour they spend together bonds them tighter and time is running out. The same powers that flung Maya back to 1903 are preparing to snatch her back. With a hundred and ten years separating these soul-bound lovers, it's uncertain whether they can find a happy ending without the help of a little magic and La Fee Verte. Inside Scoop: Story contains super-hot sex with an unattainable man, enchanted hallucinatory beverages, mischievous time-twisters, green fairies and a touch of voyeurism. A Romantica(r) time travel erotic romance from Ellora's Cave.

My Review:
I had a lot of fun with Fairy in the Flesh! It's an erotic, romantic, dreamy, magical and touching short that any fans of the genre will definitely enjoy!

Maya is currently in France. Taking a long awaited and well deserved trip to see what she is very passionate about, art. She gets to see some art and much, much more. Actually she gets to take a trip within a trip that's a bit trippy. But so very worth it by the outcome. Maya ends up with more than she could ever dream. But the thing is... Was is all a dream brought on by a drink or was it all reality? You're going to have to read it yourself to find out ;)

This is my second time reading Katalina Leon's work and I LOVE how smooth, magical, imaginative and fun she writes. She allows the reader to visualize what's being depicted on the pages and for me that's very important. My only complaint is I wish it was longer. I LOVED the story and the characters and was not ready to say goodbye... I look forward to much more of her work in the very near future :)

Goodreads Blurb:
She won’t be satisfied with just one bite...

Art student-slash-bike messenger Wren Davis pursues what she wants. And what she wants now is Gregori Ivanov, rock star of the Seattle art scene. With his tattoos, piercings and sensual sneer, Gregori is the ultimate bad boy. Wren’s gotten to know the man beneath the body art, too—and it only makes her crave him more.

But Gregori loves women like he loves cake and champagne—intensely, but only for the moment. And after Wren experiences just how scorching sex with Gregori is, she’s determined to show him that just one taste won’t be enough...

My Review:
A good, quick and sexy read that has a great build and leaves you wanting more. Any fan of the genre will enjoy their time spent with Cake :)
Wren is an artist, a woman, a student and a bike messenger that really has a great head on her shoulders. She’s determined and goes after what she wants, when the time is right. A friendship she has with bad boy artist Gregori is great, but not enough. Is it even possible for her to be something other than friends with him, someone so out of her league?

Gregori is a talented, successful and handsome artist that has started his success at the young age of 15. He has a reputation that he keeps to help keep the pests away(aka money hungry sex starved chicks). He does not want a serious relationship for various reasons. That’s why when he feels anything more than friendship for Wren, he builds a higher wall around himself. But are those walls high enough to keep her out?

This is the third story from Lauren Dane I’ve ever read. Each one has been very enjoyable in its own way and I look forward to much more from her in the very near future!

Goodreads Blurb:
Tullamore Castle, Ireland, is an enchanted place where the unexpected happens. Phantom lovers materialize in haunted beds and a lonely griffin patrols the ramparts, waiting to reclaim its mate. And that’s just the beginning.

For the adventure of a lifetime, Maeve dé Burgo visits Tullamore to study genealogy. Through a magical act and time travel, she becomes embroiled in a dangerous medieval romance and the unfinished life of her ancestor. Maeve gets thrown back in time to be captured, ravished and cherished as a war chief’s prize.

Ronan O’Griofa is a griffin-shifter, the most loyal of creatures. He’s been trapped in limbo as the avenging guardian of Tullamore since 1332 and longs to be free. When the soul of his wife returns to the castle, he’s granted the privilege of becoming a man for one day to be her lover, win her heart and remind Maeve of a bond strong enough to last an eternity.

My Review:
Fantastic! My first time reading anything by Katalina Leon and definitely not my last! Lord Griffin’s Prize is a very enjoyable, mysterious, fun and sensual read that any fans of the genre will enjoy!

Maeve is recently divorced and currently on a mission to find out about her family history. She travels very far to meet with a professor that REALLY knows his stuff. When she arrives at Tullamore, she gets all of the information she was hoping for and much much more! Imagine travelling back in time and experiencing what your ancestors did. Also imagine meeting the man of your dreams without even realizing it! But can Maeve be open minded enough to accepted everything she is being told and showed?

I loved the story, characters and especially the ending. Happy ending always make me…happy! I look forward to much more Emerald Isle Fantasies :)

Goodreads Blurb:
The third installment in the sexy Inside Out erotic romance series—in the seductive tradition of Fifty Shades of Grey.

You've discovered Rebecca's secrets. You've discovered Sara's secrets. Now Sara will discover "his" deepest, darkest secrets...but will those secrets bind them together--or tear them apart?

My Review:
Another mysterious, surprising and erotic addition to the Inside Out series. A definite must read for any fans of the genre and for those that have been following the series from its start.

Chris and Sara have come a long way since the start of the series. It’s been a very long and bumpy road for them both. Sara is still trying to solve two mystery disappearances (with the help of Chris and his resources) and Chris is working hard to break down some of his walls and let Sara in like he has no other, ever! But will a piece of each other’s pasts prevent them from really moving forward? Can love truly conquer all?

I hope this is not the end of the series. I’m not ready for it to end yet (yea, I whined, so what!) While it was (as always) a great ending. It left so much open for interpretation. To anyone reading this. Please be sure to start from the beginning of the series. There’s so much growth, revelations and back ground story you’ll end up missing if you don’t go back and start from book 1!

Book Club: Meeting

Hello Everyone,
Today is when we do our first discussion of "Warlord Wants Forever". Hopefully everybody had time to finish it. I really struggled because I have been writing and coordinating the registration for the Indie Romance Convention in Oct. And, I didn't realize that the book was as long as it was.

What did you think of this prequel?

Can we say hot?
How do you feel about the heroine being stronger than the hero in this story?
Overall, do you have a favorite scene or one you really hated?

I look forward to discussing the book with you and seeing what you thought. Do not feel obligated to answer all the questions I posted. I just wanted to provide jumping off points.

Thank you so much for participating in my book club. :)

Book Club: Voting & Stuff

Hello Everyone,
It's Sat. and I'm a little late to announce the books that were nominated. We only had three suggestions for Oct. So, here they are in no particular order:

Book #1

Goodreads:http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13547386-shiver?ac=1

Book #2

Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12381722-wicked-as-they-come?ac=1

Book#3

Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17794477-his-seduction?ac=1

I made a mistake nominating "His Seduction" because its the 5th book in a series and it isn't Halloween themed. If we have enough people say they want me to re pick before they vote I will.

You have until the 13th to vote on your favorite book out of the three. Good Luck!

Book Club: Nominations for October

Hello Everyone,
In hopes of getting more participation I have decided to change up the book club. Each person will have a opportunity to nominate a book for our book club to read. All books that are nominated will then be voted on. I know it seems to be a long time until October but we want everyone to have a chance to nominate, vote, and get ahold of the book you need.

The person that nominated the winning book will win a free copy of the book they nominated in any format. If you already own the book you nominated you will win another book.

How will it work?
1. On the 1st Friday of the month we will begin to nominate books. Nominations will be held for 7 days.
2. When the nominations are over we start voting for the winner for 7 days.
3. Then we will post the winner on the 3rd Friday. At that time we will contact the person who nominated the winning book to get their information for their prize.
4. At this time we will have a week left to order or download our copy of the book.
5. We start reading on the 1st day of the month and have discussions every Sunday.
6. The winning book and the (strongly suggested) reading schedule, lol, will be posted on the book club page (here)

So look for book club posts on Fridays and Sundays.

WAIT.....

We need to start nominations today. So, nominate one book you would like us to read in October in the comments below. Don't forget if you nominate the winning book you'll win a copy.

Blaze of Secrets by Jessie Donovan ebooksm
To avoid persecution, the Feiru will do anything to keep their elemental magic a secret from humans—even lock away their children for life. Few know what goes on inside the prison system for magic users, but that is about to change…

Kiarra Melini overhears the dangerous secrets of her blood and decides that if Feiru elemental magic is to survive, she needs to die. But before she can finish the deed, a handsome black-clad man kidnaps her from prison and introduces her to an anti-prison activist group. As the prison retrieval squad hunts for her, Kiarra must overcome the demons of her past or risk losing not only her newfound freedom, but also the man who reawakens her desires and captures her heart.

Jaxton Ward finally rescues his older brother from prison, but instead of helping with his brother’s recovery, he’s ordered to train Kiarra—a stubborn elemental fire user who claims her magic is gone. But just as Kiarra starts trusting him with her secrets, the prison enforcers catch up with them. Now Jaxton must find a way to keep his family safe while also protecting the only woman able to ignite both his temper and his passion.

Each stroke of Jaxton’s thumb left a trail of heat on her skin. She’d dismissed the same feeling during training, blaming her imagination and her yearnings for elemental fire. But the feeling had returned, and she wasn’t sure what to make of it.
When she’d had her abilities, her fire had always radiated outward. She’d never heard of heat flaring at another person’s touch.
Even now, she moved her hand a fraction to the south, hoping to feel the tingle of elemental fire particles. But nothing happened.
Jaxton’s thumb stilled and she looked into his eyes. He continued to cup her cheek as he said, “Reaching to the south didn’t work, did it?”
“How did you—“
The corner of his mouth rose in a half-smile. “I’m your shadow, remember? It’s my job.”
It’s my job. Ty had said the same words to her after her flogging, when she’d asked why he hadn’t done anything to stop it.
The past was a cold slap in the face. She became acutely aware of Jaxton’s touch and the scant inches separating their bodies. She’d walked this road before, allowing someone to get close to her before she really knew much about them. After Ty, she’d vowed never again.
Kiarra shook her head and tugged her hand. “Let me go.”
He must’ve seen something in her expression because Jaxton released her hand and allowed her to take a few steps away. She put a clenched fist over her heart, as if the act could protect it from the memories of betrayal.
“What’s wrong, Kiarra?”
She avoided Jaxton’s gaze and focused on tamping down the painful memories. After all these years, she’d thought herself past caring. Apparently she was wrong.
She closed her eyes and breathed in and out, using the same trick that had helped keep her sanity over the years: visualizing her future. She pictured the freedom to travel, read, and interact with others who didn’t see her as a freak or a burden. Her heart still racing, she took another inhalation and thought of returning to Mt. Rainier National Park, the possibility of friends, the ability to make her own decisions.
The hurt and panic started to fade, her good thoughts overcoming the bad. After a little more concentration, she finally contained the memories and locked them inside the far corners of her mind. She wouldn’t let Ty’s actions take away her new start; the man wasn’t worth it.
Kiarra opened her eyes. Jaxton stood on the far side of the room, his arms crossed over his chest. He said nothing, his expression unreadable.
The silence was too much for her. “I’m fine.” He raised an eyebrow and she continued, “At least I will be, if you leave me alone for the rest of the evening.”
He uncrossed his arms, the hardness of his face softening. “Are you sure you want to be alone right now?”
No. “Yes.” She didn’t trust herself around Jaxton right now.
He put his hands up in defeat. “I’ll send a tray up and expect you to eat all of it. I’m also going to have someone periodically knock on your door, just to check on you. And,” he motioned toward the alarm clock on the table next to the bed, “set your alarm. Meet me in the front room at 8am tomorrow morning.”
She nodded, hoping Jaxton would leave before she lost her resolve. Earlier she’d taken comfort from his touch, and oddly she yearned to feel it again. “You can go now.”
He gave her one last long look before leaving her room.
Without his presence, the room felt empty and cold. But it was better this way. If she spent too much more time with Jaxton, her resolve would weaken, and she might do something foolish. One man had already betrayed her in the past.
Kiarra wasn’t about to let it happen again.

Jessie Donovan wrote her first story at age five, and after discovering the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey in junior high, realized that people actually wanted to read stories like those floating around inside her head. From there on out, she was determined to tap into her over-active imagination and write a book someday.
After living abroad for five years and earning degrees in Japanese, Anthropology, and Secondary Education, she buckled down and finally wrote her first full-length book. While that story will never see the light of day, it laid the world-building groundwork of what would become her debut paranormal romance, Blaze of Secrets.

Jessie loves to interact with readers, and when not traipsing around some foreign country on a shoestring, can often be found on Facebook and Twitter.
