I am still stuck on Rylee Thomas from K. Bromberg's Driven series. She was able to take a completely broken man and make him whole again.
At the top of my list are Kate Daniels, Eve Dallas, and Elina Shestakova of the Black Bear Riders of the Midnight Mountains of Despair in the Far Reaches of the Steppes of the Outerplains. Oh, and Livy Kowalski, I keep wanting to forget about her.
