Book Tour: "The Great Outdoors" by Becky Moore

Today I have the honor of having Becky Moore on my blog to do a guest post relating to her new book "The Great Outdoors". Becky welcome to the Romance Book Junkies.

Choose Your Own Adventure … with Romance Books, by Becky Moore

The American Heart Association tells us that physical activity improves your quality of life. And nothing gets my blood pumping better than a little action and adventure. Whether it’s reading an exciting book, watching an intense movie, or playing with my boys … I love a good heart-pounding experience.

When I first ran across Decadent Publishing‘s  1Night Stand series, I loved them. For one thing, they’re quick reads that fit into my busy schedule. For another, they’re super sexy. My 1Night Stand combines two of the things I love most: sexy romance, and outdoor adventure.

We’ve just gotten back from a great outdoor adventure, ourselves, a week-long trip to Sedona, Arizona. While we were there, we hiked what felt like hundreds of miles across millions of years of sandstone, limestone and shale in the Grand Canyon. We hiked in the footsteps of the Ancient Pueblo People, and checked out Saturn with the Red Rock Astronomy club. And the fresh air … sigh. We’ve got great air quality in my little town in North Carolina, but it was nothing as compared to the fresh, crisp, unpolluted air of one of our nation’s beautiful national parks.

The Great Outdoors capitalizes on the fresh air and beautiful mountain skies of the southern Appalachian Mountains in Georgia. We love to hike that portion of the great trail, though it’s by no means as taxing as my home-state hikes around Mt. Mitchell (the highest point east of the Mississippi). But with Tallulah Murphy and Mitchell Weaver, I was able to capitalize on the best outdoor activities my soul mate and I take part in as often as possible. We share a love of the outdoors and adventure, and have passed it on to our 14 year old son. If it involves kayaking, bicycling, hiking, playing soccer, or swimming, count us in!

If you’re more of an armchair adventurer, might I suggest the following romantic adventures? They’re good for your heart!

1.       The Great Outdoors, by me
2.       Crazy Hot, by Tara Janzen
3.       Shadows at Midnight, by Elizabeth Jennings
4.       Hit Hard, by Amy J. Fetzer
5.       Out of Control, by Suzanne Brockmann
6.       Hide and Seek, by Cherry Adair
7.       All the Queen’s Men, by Linda Howard
8.       Going Overboard, by Christina Skye
