Goodreads Blurb:
Erotica Romance ~ Light BDSM ~ Rubenesque / BBW ~ Regency
Historical ~ May-Dec ~ Novel Length, approx. 85,000 words.

Leagues apart in society, they can have only one possible future, that of protector and mistress...

Jeanne Darling spent her adolescence coping with her father's increasing illness and insanity. Left alone by his death and plunged into poverty, she did what she had to do to survive. Now still reeling from the overwhelming physical and emotional demands her father's care required, she values her peace above all. She doesn't need anyone or anything except her writing and the safety of her rented garret chamber. She's about to rise above her past and create financial independence for herself. What she absolutely does not need is the mysterious and possibly insane stranger who walks into the coffee shop and into her life.

David Somerville, the Duke of Hartley, has known pain and betrayal from the people closest to him. Born to privilege, power and wealth, and filled with idealistic vision for humane change, he gives all of himself to his political career. He keeps his life circumspectly under control. But one day, all the carefully arranged threads of his life unravel and his life intersects with Jeanne's in a way that challenges his view of everything he thinks he knows.

Leagues apart in society, they can have only one possible future, that of protector and mistress. And neither wants to risk deeper connection. However, their overwhelming attraction and resulting sexual games provide them with pleasures neither of them has ever known. Will their sensual journey lead them to discover a more emotionally profound side to domination and submission? Or will their seemingly insurmountable differences and passionate personal goals drive them apart?

Reader Warning: HER MYSTERY DUKE is a work of historical erotic romance. It is not meant to be a guide to or an accurate portrayal of modern BDSM lifestyles or practices. This story contains graphic descriptions of sexual acts and frank sexual language. It also contains light bondage, anal play, sexual toys, cunnilingus, fellatio, masturbation, voyeurism and spanking. Please be aware, there are no scenes of ménage or sexual sharing in this story.

My Review:
A very entertaining, surprising, touching and addictive erotic historical romance that even readers that do not enjoy the historical genre much, or even at all will fully enjoy! Especially with the perfect touch of BDSM that Natasha has wound in the pages. Erotic indeed!

Jeanna is a very independent woman. She had to be due to her father’s illness. She writes (among other things) to live and survive. She’s been alone and fine with it for quite a while. That is until the day she meets a mysterious stranger that thinks she is another and shows her things she finds her body yearns for.
David is a handsome, intelligent Duke that luckily was in the right place at a very needy time and happy beyond words with his savior. There are quite a few things going on in his life that prevents him from taking on a woman full time or even considering marriage. But for some odd reason, he cannot picture his life without Jeanna in it. The question is, how?

Together there is a passion ignited like no other and an amazing completion that is felt throughout the pages. As well as an ending that will leave you with the very happiest of tears. I LOVE Natasha’s writing! So vivid and exciting it keeps you turning the pages until, before you know it. It’s the end and you’re left wanting more in the very best of ways ;)

Review Grail Chase Book One: An Impossible Lover's Touch By Dara Fogel

Goodreads Blurb: Drawing on the same theories as Scott Brown's The DaVinci Code, GrailChase! centers on the implications that Jesus survived crucifixion and had a family with Mary Magdalen. What would happen if a womanizing scoundrel discovers he is a descendant of Christ and is called upon to save humanity from bondage to the evil Illuminati?

Set in Victorian-era Europe, against the backdrop of massive social change, GrailChase! Book 1: An Impossible Lover's Touch explores the eternal longing of the human spirit for love, freedom and enlightenment.

When the dashing British rogue, Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Jordan Haldane goes to Italy for a shady business deal, instead he finds himself falling head over heels in love with the headstrong, but impoverished beauty, Marquessa Sophia D’Amici. Little do these two suspect that their star-crossed romance is being monitored and their lives manipulated by agents of darkness and chaos.

Unwittingly, Haldane and Sophia are drawn into the age-old battle between the forces of light and dark, as the ancient Guardians of the Holy Grail and the Illuminati wrestle for control of the Villa D’Amici, where priceless ancient wisdom (and perhaps even the Holy Grail itself) lie hidden. The future of Europe for the next thousand years depends on the choices of Haldane and Sophia. Through a fateful meeting with Madame Helena Blavatsky, Sophia begins to discover her family’s ancient secret hidden deep within the old castle, while Haldane is forced to defend his life and call upon his own mysterious heritage of abilities to survive.

GrailChase!: Part One – An Impossible Lover’s Touch by Dara Fogel is the book one of a heretical romantic trilogy, following the adventures and unfoldment of two soul mates, whose reunion fulfills prophecy and shapes the destiny of nations for centuries to come.

A very different Historical romance read for me 2.5 rounded to a 3 rating. I feel this story will be best enjoyed by those that are die hard historical fans and do not mind not having happily ever after ending and waiting for the next in the series to see if it's to come.

Sophia is my favorite character in the book. She’s smart, pure hearted, loving, beautiful and kind. She’s a dreamer and very loyal to her family. She’s lost so much already in her years and now loses her father. With no man in her life she feels she must make a hasty decision so she can keep the family home and land as it should be, in the family…

Jordan is a man that a woman should honestly steer clear from. Now-a-days we call his type a full blown player. He has his cake and eats it too! He plays the field with much skill and adore woman of all types. He’s currently at works with getting two enemies whom are also neighbors to make peace and share profit. During that time he meets a beautiful woman that does things to him that he’s not experienced in all of his days. But he does not know what to do about it. So much is at stake and the way he wants to go just does not seem realistic. Will he have a choice?

I enjoyed the idea of the story and really wanted to LOVE it and I believe with a bit more work it could be great! But it was difficult for me fully enjoy for various reasons. One being that one character should have one name. It’s understandable when a man is a father and a professional as well as owning his given name (Example: Dad, Jordan, Colonel), that's reasonable. But Jordan had too many names to keep count of and it made it hard to keep track of at various points with the who is who. The transitioning between chapters, dates, and characters was not done very smoothly. It was actually rather harsh at times and messed with the flow of the story. Those are the two main points that troubled me when reading Grail Chase. Even being so, I’d read book 2 of the series to see where Dara Rogel takes these passionate characters and the outcome.

Review The Third Son (Kings of Cardenas #1) By Elise Marion

Goodreads Blurb: Rake. Rogue. Scoundrel. Each of these words has been used to describe Damien Largess, youngest prince of Cardenas, most frequently by his ridiculously somber eldest brother. Damien is perfectly content to spend his days drinking at the card tables, and his nights in the bed of his scheming mistress, especially since doing these things seems to vex his high-handed brother to no end. But when he steps into a glittering ballroom on the night of his twenty-fifth birthday, the roguish young prince's life will be forever changed.

Beautiful. Graceful. Sensual. When Esmeralda steps into the center of the King's ballroom to perform for his youngest son's birthday, every eye in the room is glued to the tall, lithe Gypsy dancer. One pair of eyes seems to burn straight through her, and though she has worked endlessly to shield her heart, she finds her defenses slowly slipping away in the presence of the handsome prince. She cannot resist his devastating charm, nor is she immune to the earth shattering desire in his kiss. As she falls rapidly under his spell, Esmeralda dares to hope for a future she would never have thought possible.

With a deadly plot against the royal family surrounding him in danger and intrigue, Damien will face a decision he never thought he would have to make. Would he step up to claim a responsibility that should never have fallen to the third son? Or will he abandon it to risk all for love?

A very sweet, exciting, touching and sensual story that had me in love with a majority of its characters from the start, specifically Damien and Esmeralda and their journey towards true happiness. Their story is a rollercoaster of a ride in various ways that kept me holding my breath in anticipation many times over. The Third Son is a historical romance that all fans of the genre will be captivated by from start to finish.

Damien has a reputation as a rogue and much more, none of it being good. The youngest of three males and the most free spirited, it is not easy following behind two other brothers that are in line before him for the throne, but he does what he must and that is enjoying his time gambling, drinking and having his bed always warm with a beautiful woman. Things take a complete turn for him without him even realizing it on one special night when he watches a beautiful gypsy dancer perform in the ballroom during his birthday celebration. He is hypnotized by her beauty and grace and feels a pull like he’s never felt before for a woman. One thing he does know for sure, he must have her!

Esmeralda is a beautiful, talented and very kind hearted gypsy dancer that is well loved by her family and friends. Due to an uncontrollable situation in her past, she has a wall built around her heart and has yet to know a mans love. When she comes to meet and know Prince Damien, she finds herself drawn to him, even with his horrible reputation. He is nothing but kind to her and she’s drawn to him like a moth to a flame, just one kiss and her wall crumbles. Her heart now belongs to him, now they just need to make it work and find a way for others to see how they are meant to be for one another whether any of those close minded fools like it or not!

Book 1 of the Kings of Cardenas series is an excellent start, one that will tug at your heart strings and leave you wanting much more. Elise wrote us a very vivid and touching story that you will find yourself getting lost within its pages and feel its loss when you reach its end.
