My Review:
This is book 2 in the series but can be read as a standalone. To be totally honest this book was just ok for me. It starts out with Samantha a heartbroken heroine who has just lost her father and finds his magic lamp. Samantha is a weak, pampered, spoiled person in the beginning of the book but is changed throughout the story into a smart, strong, independent person at the end. Kal is our hero and also our genie in the beginning he seems to be a little depressed from all his years as a genie and obeying all his masters wishes for forever but then he meets Samantha which happens to be his very last master he has to have before he's free of this curse so things are looking up for him. The beginning of the story was great and I was really into it then Samantha does the stupidest thing you could ever do and wishes that she can't say the word "wish" anymore therefore giving up all her genie privileges. This is were the story gets boring for me in the middle. There is a lot going on but I had a hard time getting through it all. Then the ending picks back up and is fantastic. It even made me cry which is rare so what do I say? I don't know. Maybe it was me and you should give it a shot, but like I said it was just ok for me.
