Lady Elyssa Yamato Amaterasu Wentworth is a centuries-old vampire who's been given a new servant-Jacob, a total alpha male unaccustomed to submitting to any woman's wishes. What really binds Jacob to her are not her sensual midnight hungers, but something far more provocative. It stirs her blood, renews her life, and awakens her soul like only true love can. The passion between Elyssa and Jacob yields something else unexpected-a shared history that reaches back through the centuries and is fated to challenge their destiny like nothing ever will again.

Warning: This story contains violence, bondage, menage, rape and other extreme sexual practices.

My Review:
This book is a very hard one to review for me because I really enjoyed it but there are some very sick things going on in this book that most would find offensive. Of all the books I've read which is MANY this is by far the naughtiest and most shocking I have ever read.
Having said that I'll get on with my review. Lady Elyssa is the vampire queen amongst her people and has earned it well. She is extremely moody and can be outright vicious. She has lived a very long and troubled past at the hands of her dead husband. Though she does soften up a little towards the end she maintains her true nature throughout the whole book. Which I loved about this book because vampires are supposed to be scary and unpredictable monsters. Jacob is a total hottie who has devoted his life to being her servant for the rest of his life in and out of the bedroom, if she'll have him that is. Jacob's only flaw to her is that he's a alpha and has never been submissive before especially in the bedroom which is one of her top requirements. He's been trained by her old servant and is more than perfect in everything else which makes it hard for her to decide whether she should accept him. Deep down Jacob and her old servant think that he is exactly what she needs to recoup some happiness in her life.
This book involves a lot of sex and a struggle of wills down to the last page. If you decide to read this book be prepared to read book two because the ending is going to leave you wanting more.
Joey does a great job of world building as Elyssa introduces Jacob into her world.
I would have to say that this book really shocked me and definitely gets the naughtiest book award in my book. A target audience for this book would be someone who enjoys bondage, S&M, violence, and dark erotic paranormal romance. I would definitely recommend this book as a page turner. Great job, Joey and I will be reading more of your books in the future.

Wow, the naughtiest book award? I'm sure this is definitely for some people, but I think I would be too embarrassed to read it, lol. However, I did read many of the Anita Blake books.
