My Review:This wasn't a great book but was still entertaining. Phoebe is a struggling actress that is smart and resourceful but also lonely and has been mistreated in the past. Ned our hero is a complete gentlemen heartbroken by the lose of his wife three years prior which he feels guilty about but overall he's a good person. He is talked into attending a brothel party by his best friend were he meets our heroine. Both are out of place and seek each others company to escape the goings on around them. During this short interlude they develop feelings for each other almost a love at first sight scenario.
The book starts out good and even a little funny at times but I felt the couple develop feelings for each other a little too quickly and I have to say I didn't much care for the ending but this could be do to the fact that its the first book in a series and some of the loopholes could be cleared up in the next book. Overall the story was unique for a historical romance unlike anything I've read. The author used some very vivid descriptions for a novella which I liked but left me hanging at the end. So, I would recommend it to someone looking for a entertaining, quick erotic historical. Overall I enjoyed the book but it wasn't anything spectacular.
