Goodreads Blurb:
Fear of death is all too common. Visions of it chill the bones and skip heartbeats. Seeing it coming and knowing only you can rescue the soul of the victim from the fiery bowels of hell…that’s downright life-altering.

Cassandra Cosgrove’s life was altered at the age of sixteen when she found out that it was her responsibility to save the lives, and ultimately the souls, of innocent victims targeted by Hell’s demons. As impossible as it seemed at first, she was able to live a fairly normal life, while secretly fulfilling her obligation as a Guardian of Fate.

But years later Fate has its own plan when her visions begin drastically changing at the same time two mysterious men appear in her life. Cassandra suddenly finds herself caught in a battle between good and evil, with her own soul on the line. When it seems everyone in her life has a secret they’ve been hiding from her, who can she trust to be the Guardian of her Fate?

My Review:
This is the first book in a series of 3 (the other two have not yet been released) of L.J. Kentowski’s Fate series. This book was a very strong, excellent start that paranormal romance and fantasy romance readers will find intriguing. Excitement, seduction, suspense and two extremely hot and definitely mysterious men are only some examples of what readers have to look forward to. L.J.’s creativity and writing skills are very impressive and will leaving you craving for more of what Fate is to bring!

What does one do when they have pretty much the weight of the world in their hands? Our Guardian of Fate Cassie faces it all head on. Cassie has a huge responsibility as a Guardian of Fate. That’s to save human souls, basically their lives from being sent to Hell by the shadows (Hell’s demons) that are harassing earth’s plane. Having learned about many secrets that have been kept from her by loved ones hurt. But brought Cassie to realize how special she truly is to the balance of good and evil. When faced with choices she is one of the most selfless characters I've ever met. Very strong, determined and really cares about the people around her. But will love make her blind to truths like it does to many of us? A roller coaster of emotions and situations help to open her eyes. Especially when it comes to the two strange (but very hot) men that have popped into her life. Hunter and Caleb are both very attractive males that both show extreme desire to be with Cassie. Cassie feels a pull toward both of them but is uneasy about the situation. Can they be trusted? Will Cassie regret opening up to either of them?

Electric, seductive and full of surprises. A real page turner that has you on edge for what will happen next in Cassie’s life. Cannot wait to see what’s in store for us in book two!

What an intriguing interview with the author. I was fascinated by her explanation of Sheol (Hell) and how it came to be. Understanding this background gives a huge depth to the actual novel (which I've read and loved) and feel it's a big addition to the mystique. Kudos too to reviewer, Ava! Can't wait to read more when Seekers of Fate is published! Alice

Thanks to you too, Alice! Creating Sheol really was a lot of fun for me, and reading it over again made me want to go into so much more detail with it. Maybe someday :)
