My Review:

An amazing follow-up to Grey’s Lady. Flirty, sexy, intense and very erotic read. So well written that you could read it on its own. However I would not recommend reading out of sequence because it will ruin the order of things and the impact you will feel all around with Beth and Grey’s relationship and all other happenings. I will continue to say, its authors like Natasha who have made historical one of my favorite genres and I look forward to the next in the Carte Blanche series.

Grey and Beth are an amazing couple. They complement each other as only those that are meant to be can. They go through so many up’s and down’s and back and forth’s. Many times when all seems well and good. Happiness has taken hold of both of them another dilemma pops it ugly head out of the woodwork. They love to use sex against one another. Both for selfish purposes and to make a point. It works for them! But the insecurities each of them hold for themselves cause a very rocky road. Together with some eye opening turn of events, facing up to their insecurities they each learn one another inside and out for a love that is the truest form one can desire. I love a happy ending!

While I loved all of the characters because they all added to the book and made it complete to the fullest. I have to say that Ruth pissed me off immensely! For a true family member of Beth’s and all Beth have done for her and her husband. You would think she would treat and speak of Beth as a better person. Grey is another one. While he truly loves his Beth and speaks no ill of her what-so-ever. His priorities are all askew and he holds back too much of his true self from Beth. I knew Grey ran hot and cold from the first book in the series. But he ran colder for awhile in this one. There are a couple of others that made me all grrr as well. But I will leave them for you to find :)

Anyone that loves erotica, romance and historical would enjoy reading White Lace and Promises. It’s a wild ride with tons of hot sex that leaves you wanting more!
