Hello Everyone!
I have a very special guest on my blog today and she has written up a post about her 2013 top list of favorites. Lets welcome Eve Langlais to Romance Book Junkies!
When Danielle asked me to do a post listing books of mine written in 2013 that topped my list of favorites, at first I’ll admit I was stumped. How to choose? Did I go with fan favorites, or those that I really loved the most? Sometimes, the two just aren’t the same. So…I went with my personal fave’s. But I’d love to hear from readers about which ones made top of their list.
So, in no particular order, here they are.
Two’s A Couple, Three’s The Law:
Can one woman handle two dominant men intent on staking their claim?
Two’s a couple, three’s a ménage, not to mention the law. Welcome to an alternate world where the government gives tax breaks to women who choose to take on two or more men—and werewolves live amongst us.
Despite the laws encouraging polygamy, Chloe isn’t interested in a relationship with one man, let alone two. But all that changes when a werewolf client decides he wants her for more than just legal aid. He’s not alone though. Her nemesis in the courtroom, district attorney Anthony Vanderson, is also intent on seduction.
Caught between two men—naked and panting—she succumbs to passion, gets embroiled in a mystery and learns werewolves aren’t the only creatures living amongst humans.
“This story is awesome. It practically wrote itself and I smiled the whole time I typed away. It’s got humor, heat, snark, and some internal dialogue by the heroine that is, in my opinion, pee-your-pants worthy.”
Mated To The Devil:
WARNING: Not all pleasures are a sin…
Mina wants to put her seduction by a golden-eyed devil behind her, but the birth of her son Jacques renders that impossible. She tries to forget the only man who ever roused her passion, but when she notices her son exhibiting strange behavior--and less than human characteristics--she realizes she must face her past and learn to trust, and love, again.
Howling drunk, the one thing Remy clearly remembers is seducing Mina. A pity he didn’t think to get her address, especially since he marks her as his mate. When she disappears, he’s got plenty of time to regret, but he doesn’t get a chance to atone until she comes back into his life with an unexpected surprise.
Thrust into the role of father, Remy works to bond with his son while at the same time gaining forgiveness. But will he get the chance to truly make her his mate before danger threatens their fragile happiness?
“This book really got mixed reviews. People either loved it because of its depth, or hated it because it didn’t have my usual laughs. It hit my list, though, despite the polarized opinions because it made me cry. Being a mom, there were parts in this story that literally had me sobbing as I typed and for that alone, it made my list. I know many didn’t like this departure from my usual formula, but I don’t regret writing it because I proved to myself I was capable of stepping outside of my usual snarky comfort zone and writing something with deep emotion.”
Aramus:
Wiping out humanity is his number one objective—until he meets her.
Aramus has no patience or sympathy for the excuses humanity uses to hunt cyborgs down and eradicate them. He’s put up with too much at their hands to ever forgive and forget. But all that changes when he rescues a fragile human doctor who refuses to see him as a machine. She teaches him that perhaps not all emotions are a weakness and that love can make even a cynical cyborg like him stronger.
And for those who’d mock his change of view or threaten his female? Go ahead. His iron knuckles could use some exercise.
The Cyborgs:

More Than Machines books can be read as stand alone stories, however, for total reader enjoyment it is recommended you read them in order.
C791 - Book 1
F814 - Book 2
B785 - Book 3
Aramus - Book 4
Seth - Book 5 (Coming 2014)
“There is something about an over the top asshat of a hero that pushes all my right buttons. Yes, I should hate him. Yes he’s a jerk. But, dammit, by the end of the story, I couldn’t help but be in love with Aramus.”
Lion and the Falcon:
Given the choice between dealing with a psycho killer, a meddling mother and an all too sexy falcon, this poor doctor does what any sane lion would do—he takes a nice, long nap.
Avian Soaring Security has transferred Clarice to the Furry United Coalition so she can help track some escaped psycho patients. As if that weren’t bad enough, they partnered her with the very pampered Dr. Manners. Everything about the attractive feline annoys her, except for his flaming hot kisses. But is passion enough to keep a usually sparring species together?
Nolan’s pedigree isn’t the only thing preventing him from falling for his sexy partner. She’s bossy, violent, rude and oh so intriguing to this curious cat, but his meddlesome mother will never allow him to get involved with a bird. But before he can decide if love is worth bucking pride tradition, he needs to stay out of the clutches of a demented ex-patient.
Book order for the Furry United Coalition Series (also known as FUC).

“Pampered by his family, loved by women, seeing this lazy lion fall for a tough as nails heroine who wanted nothing to do with him had me smiling the whole time. And the fight between his mother and the heroine…OMG hilarious. It’s a wonder I didn’t hurt myself falling off my chair.”
Mercenary Abduction:
Makl is looking to become the greatest mercenary the universe has known. In true family tradition, he leaves a trail of mayhem and bodies wherever he goes. steals the most priceless of items, ravishes females left and right. But that all ends the day he comes across the biggest prize of all – a human barbarian.
Fooled into thinking her a priceless virgin and captivated by her pale skinned, two-breasted frame, he abducts her, or at least means to. His plan goes somewhat awry. The not-so-innocent human becomes his partner in crime instead of his prisoner, and together they form an unstoppable duo. Tales of their misdeeds and budding passion become a universal sensation, but there’s no room in a mercenary’s life for a mate. Or is there?
For the first time in his life, the Mercenary’s Guide to Prosperity doesn’t have an answer to Makl’s questions, and there’s no visible threat for him to kill. What’s a poor, purple mercenary to do? Admit he’s in love – or ditch the delectable human?
“Completely over the top, arrogant and fearless, Makl should come across as a jerk, but instead he’s just freaking adorable! This sci-fi romance has giggles, adventure and heat. A true pleasure to write.”
