Just released!! BLOOD DANCE by A.R. Von

New Release!!
Blood Dance cvr.jpg

Title: Blood Dance
Series: The Blood Dance Series
Genre: Erotic/Thriller (18+ read due to, s/v/l/)
Author: A.R. Von
BLURB:
Valentine's Day is just not what it seems. Two friends long ago discovered their deep dislike for the lovey dovey holiday, Now they realize it holds much more meaning then frilly hearts, love and chocolates when a party leads them to a bloody fun house and a demon that's been around since the dawn of time...
Sneak peek:
Humans—those delicate beings, which could die with the snap of a neck do not have this knowledge. The dark entities that do know these secrets have kept them within their circles for millennia.
What sort of dark beings are we talking about here? I’m afraid you’ll not be told about any of them here and now, other than one. The one and only entity which is still celebrated cherished and coveted on this planet…this plane.
You see humans as well as other beings have a variety of holidays they celebrate. There are birthdays, Christmas, Easter, Halloween and so many others within all cultures and walks of life on earth. The one you’re to concern yourself with for now, is known to all as the one and only holiday that is full of love, sex, gifts and a ton of history…Valentine’s Day.
There are many stories to how Valentine’s Day started and even who started it. The most popular one is the story of St. Valentine, a priest that married people in secret. Why is that such a big deal? Well, at the time of these occurrences, marriage was banned completely. Long story short, the priest was eventually found out and put to death for doing what he felt was right. All that the priest did was all being done to benefit the soldiers of that time period. It’s a sad story really.
Another story of Valentine’s Day roots that was spread far and wide is of a young man named Valentine. A young man who was in prison for helping persecute Christians. This man fell in love with his jailors blind daughter, and it’s said, he restored her sight. I’m not sure about the order of the two, what I do know is love did not prevail in this tale. He was executed. But before his execution, he sent out a letter to his beloved which he signed ‘Love, your Valentine’.
So many more stories are out there and each holds a very small bit of truth. That’s all except for thee one, the one and only true story of Valentine and its origin. Yes, you read right. Its origin.
You see, Valentine is not a human, a saint, a fae being or an angel. Nothing like any of those delightful, happy ending, good representing beings. No, Valentine was born from darkness, in darkness, lives, breathes, bleeds darkness and releases nothing but darkness, death and destruction.
The truth of it is, Valentine is a demon. A wicked and evil demon who has roamed the earth, right beneath all of our noses for hundreds of life times, a seductress of sexes and taker of lives. A bringer of death, hatred and fornication.
Valentine does not represent love. It—the being—represents death, destruction, horror and finality. There’s nothing positive about Valentine, not to humans and their lives. Not to anything or anyone good and pure.
It can take on any form it wishes, this demon known as Valentine. It can come to you as a male, female, animal, even the freaking Easter bunny if that is what it desired. But that’s beyond the point here.
For over a thousand years, Valentine has had a secret coven, a clan if you wish, in which followers help to make Valentine even stronger by bringing in people to celebrate this false holiday of love. A private party promising good times is usually the hook, line and sinker.
Once the humans get a small taste of the free feeling and sensuality Valentine can give. It then entices the humans by making small promises, laying out various temptations that make humans weak, causing them to cave in to temptation. To give up all that is them, their heart and soul to Valentine and only Valentine.
It’s so easy for the demon to gain followers with the small promises of wealth, a girl, a man desired, long existence, a fantasy come to life, even a dream home or a trip back in time. It all depends on the individual, the follower and their worth to Valentine. What none of them knows is; most of the people who have been brought into this celebration will never come back out, never receive what was promised to them. Those little sheep, those followers are what in truth strengthens Valentine and is what has kept it alive throughout time, death.
Death is what gives it power.
It requires the heart of its victims along with the very soul within the body. Valentine tortures, mutilates, plays with, and then ingests them like it’s nothing and continues to live on and on...

Here’s just one tale, one small story of an instance of Valentine and its following at work. Please do not continue if you dislike kinky sex, gore, violence and moonshine…

Infinite possibilities….
Infinite passion…..
Infinite danger….

His touch spirals through me, warm and sweet, wicked and hot. I shouldn’t trust him. I shouldn’t tell him my secrets. But how do I not when he is the reason I breathe? He is what I need.

At the young age of eighteen, tragedy and a dark secret force Lara to flee all she has known and loves to start a new life. Now years later, with a new identity as Amy, she’s finally dared to believe she is forgotten–even if she cannot forget. But just when she lets down her guard, the ghosts of her past are quick to punish her, forcing her back on the run.

On a plane, struggling to face the devastation of losing everything again and starting over, Amy meets Liam Stone, a darkly entrancing recluse billionaire, who is also a brilliant, and famous, prodigy architect. A man who knows what he wants and goes after it. And what he wants is Amy. Refusing to take “no” as an answer, he sweeps her into a passionate affair, pushing her to her erotic limits. He wants to possess her. He makes her want to be possessed. Liam demands everything from her, accepting nothing less. But what if she is too devastated by tragedy to know when he wants more than she should give? And what if there is more to Liam than meets the eyes?

My Review:
A great erotic treat that will leave you itching for much more! Like most of Lisa’s work there is mystery, suspense, deep desires and an addictive quality that many fans of the genre will enjoy.

Amy is so very tired. Tired of running, tired of hiding and not really getting to live and she’s also tired of lying. But she has no choice and has done it all most of her life. One flight on an airplane changes a lot of things in her life. She’s unsure no more than ever. Especially of the man that has worked her way into her life and heart.

Liam is an alpha male. A very intelligent, mysterious, wealthy, unpredictable and great looking one! At times he seems to know exactly what he wants. But others he seems…confused. Everyone has a skeleton or two in their closet. I’m dying to know what his are!

What an ENDING! I really hope we don’t have to wait too long for the next in the series. This was a great start and I look forward to the next! A 4.5 rating rounded to a 5.

Presley Flynn is ripe to experience her secret fantasies . . . and Dmitri Pratt wants nothing more than to fulfill them. Once inside the elite Club Sin in Las Vegas, Presley is nervous but excited—and determined to surrender to her every desire. Dmitri is her Master, and his touch is like fire. With each careful, calculated caress, he unleashes her wildest inhibitions, giving her unimagined pleasure.

Presley is different than the other submissives Dimitri has mastered. The BDSM lifestyle is new to her, and so are the games they play at Club Sin. From the start, Presley stirs emotions in him far beyond the raw purity between a dom and the perfect sub. For the ecstasy they share goes beyond the dungeon igniting a passion that claims the very depths of the heart.

My Review:
A touching, erotic, fun and satisfying light BDSM read. I think Stacey did an amazing job (as usual) with allowing us to REALLY get into the pages and…feel. A great read for all fans of the genre :)

Presley is a bit lost. Not in a very negative way, mainly in a sense of her preferences in the bedroom. She has no experience in the BDSM scene, but believes it just might be what she craves, desires and possibly needs. Now she’s exploring…

Dmitri is the founder/owner and one of three Doms running his intimate BDSM club. He’s successful, wealthy, good looking and just about to find something (well someone) he never thought he’d have. His ideal submissive.

I enjoyed the build, the entire story; characters back grounds and the relationship between the two main characters. I look forward to what the author will bring us in the next of the series. Claimed is an excellent start! I know I’m hooked!

Sarah Miller is known as a dreamer in her stifling Mennonite community, but she's hiding something from them all. A simple wish to avoid the strictly enforced life path expected of her...early marriage, babies, and work on the farm.

She wants more, so much more. Education, travel, love...sex...

A chance at university hundreds of miles away is too much to pass up, so she follows her best friend Naomi and decides to take her future into her own hands.

She had no idea this decision would change her in ways she never imagined, will the one person she falls in love with hold her back from everything she ever wanted?

***As with all my work, this novel is intended for those 18+. It is New Adult, but contains depictions of graphic sex, drug use and underage drinking. However, if you are in the mood for an amazing story with sex scenes that will make your naughty bits tingle, you’re in luck!***

My Review:
ACK! There is a warning that it’s a cliff hanger but OH MY! Like Falling is an erotic, touching, fun and adventurous read that any fans of the genre will definitely enjoy!

Sarah was a sheltered teen. Growing up only knowing what she was taught by her parents and her church. Yes she attended school as well but Sarah is a VERY good girl. Well at least until she starts attending college and seeing exactly what the world has to offer…

Tyr was brought up very differently from Sarah. Two very different people from two different worlds (not literal planets though-lol). He has had a hard time of life. None of it having to do with his personal habits. More like the habits of his family. He’s a great guy with a greater heart. A heart that has a huge wall built around it. Is it possible he found the one that can break down the wall?

I’m very excited to see where the author will go with this series. A great start to a new series that I think many will become addicted to!

Playing With Fire!

Caragh Ó Brannon defended herself bravely when the enemy landed—only, now she finds herself alone with one very angry Viking…

Styr Hardrata sailed to Ireland intending to trade, never expecting to find himself held captive in chains by a beautiful Irish maiden.

The fiercely handsome warrior both terrifies and allures Caragh, but he is forbidden territory. He is the enemy…and he is married. Yet Styr harbors a secret that just might set them both free…

Forbidden Vikings

Resist them if you can!

My Review:
A very good first experience for me. What do I mean by first experience you are?.. I will tell you. It’s my first time reading from this author and I say she now has a new fan! Great characters, settings, and a different (to me) story line right along with some excellent writing. I feel any fans of the genre, or just Viking lovers in general will love To Sin with a Viking :)

Caragh is one tough cookie! I have to say. I was impressed with her right from the start. She’s with her people, all of them poor and hungry. Yet she always thinks of herself last. That says a lot about a person.

Styr is the main Viking in this story. Traveling with his wife and people to find new home and make a new start. He also hopes the change will help save his marriage. Styr is a man of honor and far from a quitter. He faces temptation and holds true, for the most part. I would not mind having a Viking like him in my next Viking dream :)

My only complaint is it ended around when all of the hot and sexy came along. I was hoping for a bit…more. But it was otherwise satisfying and a plan to look into more of this authors work.

College is supposed to be a magical experience, a time of self-exploration and discovery. For Crystal and her friends, Ryan and Kelly, this couldn't be closer to the truth. Crystal, the geeky girl on a scholarship, Ryan, the rich entitled kid who feels he is misunderstood, and Kelly who is looking for love in all the wrong places... These three friends will take you on an exciting trip as they encounter situations they never dreamed possible. Mystery men, betrayal, relationships, and steamy sex. All this and more await you in this first book of a trilogy by Becca Lee Nyx.

My Review:
One thing I have to say is this is very different. Jam packed and full of sex and even a touch addictive. Various POV switches, but the author did them all in a way that’s pretty easy to follow. I would recommend this to anyone that is a fan of the genre.

Crystal and her friends Ryan and Kelly are off to start their college adventure. So much changes within a few moments of them being enrolled and starting their first days of college. EVERYONE has secrets, some rather shocking. Others disappointing. Relationships bloom & begin while others dwindle and become no more. Quite a roller coaster ride in some cases and many decisions need to be made by Crystal. I just hope they are the right ones! I know I’m ream Gabriel all the way :)

There’s a lot going on and I felt too many ends were left hanging. But it’s still a great read and I look forward to seeing where the author will take us next!

Zoricah, the draconian demigoddess, has limited time to uncover a series of killings before one of her own meets the same fate. Determined not to let that happen, Zoricah has no other choice but to ask for the help of her race’s archenemy.

Tardieh, the Vampire King, has long learnt not to trust the Dragons but when the flames of passion ignite between him and Zoricah, he finds himself torn between overwhelming sexual heat and his centuries-old distrust.

Together they have to overcome their own prejudices before it is too late for their races and their love.

My Review:
WOW! While it was a bit of a slow start, once it got going. It went! Full of action, excitement, a touch of mystery, romance and original paranormal aspects. A fun and entertaining read that many fans of the genre will love!

Tardieh is a vampire that is next in line to be king. He has a much clearer view of the world than the current king, and is constantly told as much. Fighting a war against other paranormal beings, most innocents, is a difficult thing to live with and he would like to change that one day. That day actually comes much sooner that he thought it would and he finds himself not only the new king. But enamored by a beautiful female that is known as his enemy.

Zoricah is a beautiful, powerful dragon shifter that holds many secrets. After saving a very important person’s life, which she hopes can bring much desired peace amongst all paranormals. She finds herself falling head over heels for a sworn enemy.

I really enjoyed this story and look forward to much more from this author!

Devin Owen has come back from the Dragon Wars a changed Werewolf. For one thing, he's lost his wolf side as well as much of his desire to live. He spends most of his life doped up to handle the pain from his injured leg.

Lena Knox knew the moment she met Devin that he was her mate. But, she'd been a child at the time and he hadn't noticed her at all. Now, all grown up, she wants Devin to be the wolf she's waited for. Not that she has a lot of time for longing with life and home crumbling around her.

A couple of heated encounters draw them together, but is it enough to overcome the war wounds they both carry? Or will an outside enemy destroy them before they get the chance to find forever?

My Review:
A touching, sexy and exciting short that left me wanting much, much more. More of the story (many unanswered questions linger in my mind) and the characters, both. A great read for any fans of the genre looking for a quick fix.

Devin has been through hell and back. He’s actually still there deep within himself and fighting battles only he can face and win. Being through such a traumatic experience has changed him in many ways. Now he just needs to find his way back…

Lena has known who her mate was since the young age of 7. Waiting 15 years for him to come back and saving every little precious bit of herself just for him. Now the question is. Will he have her as his mate?

I hope the author continues with this story. I REALLY enjoyed the concept and characters. My peeve with it is it really left me…wanting.

The heart cares not what society forbids.

Lily nurtures a secret love for a flawless man—the one who is her soul mate. Donovan is gorgeous, charismatic, and delights in all of Lily’s talents and quirks. Their innate knowledge of each other is almost telepathic. Together they interlock like fine threads creating luxurious silk.

But society dictates this picture-perfect adoration is the ghastliest of all possibilities.

As Lily embarks on a quest for the romance the heavens intended, her suitor turns reluctant. Desperate to uncover why Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hiding decayed from a tender-hearted gentleman into a ferociously self-serving, cocky bastard, Lily is prepared for battle when it comes to the salvation of her soul mate. However, Donovan traps Lily in a mental game of chess, leaving her to question his sanity. When Lily’s revelations about Donovan’s destructive alter ego lead to an unconceivable truth, can she help Donovan survive fate’s cruel joke?

Impassioned, witty, and deeply moving, Love’s Forbidden Flower is filled with stunning controversies that will forever haunt your heart.

My Review:

I’m going to start off by saying… I’ve NEVER read anything like Love’s Forbidden Flower, EVER in my reading history! Not only because it’s not my usual reading material, it’s the story line that I’ve never experienced before. Unquestionably original and I can definitely see why it’s considered controversial. It’s not something you would normally read in a love story, but it’s a really good story. Any fan of the genre that’s looking for something different to read and has no objections to two soul mates, fighting for their love and are related to one another, will fully enjoy it.

Lily is a smart, beautiful and creative young woman that is in love, deeply and unconditionally in love. She has a life plan which a part is to make a business for herself doing what she enjoys most and enjoying her life with the one she loves. But when she is rejected, she finds love elsewhere. It’s nothing like what she feels for her soul mate, but close and he has the best accent!

Donovan is Lily’s older brother. He starts off as doing the right thing, going to high school, helping his father live vicariously through him. Only wanting to make his parents happy and proud; all while holding in many deep secrets from both his parents and his sister brings him to a negative point. He has a hard time with it all and loses himself once in a while by taking it out on others he does not care about. All he wants is to have the one thing, the one person he loves and has loved, but it’s forbidden.

Secrets, deceit, twists, love, soul deep emotions and a forbidden relationship all wrapped into one page turning read. This is the first book of a new series and I’m looking forward to seeing where this roller coaster of a relationship ends up. I’m hoping for the best for Lily, Donovan and Christopher :)

Goodreads Blurb: AIDAN IVERSON III, old money wealthy and blatant playboy, has never felt the need to be with one woman. Why, when he has the looks, money and a family name to rule the nightlife? And, when it thoroughly aggravates Grandfather?

LILLIAN SNOWE, do-it-yourself overachiever, has a plan to keep her father healthy and living in the home where he raised her. But, how can she, when the hospital bills are piling up, the bank wants their money and she is hundreds of miles away from home?

From the moment they meet, Aidan would have to be blind not to feel an attraction, especially with Lilli's work attire and feisty humor.

When illness, death, debt and a mutual friend, bring these two together, feelings are hurt and someone is insulted. It takes determination, sneaky actions and cockiness to secure the deal. But, even with an iron clad marriage agreement and pre-nup in place, there are those who would seek to destroy the spark threatening to engulf our couple in a happily ever after.

So, Save the Date, because you are cordially invited to the seduction of Lilli Snowe.

My Review:
Another great by Sadie Grubor! A 4.5 out of 5 rating for me. I had a lot of fun reading this (maybe a little too much). I feel as if I personally know all of the characters and shared their emotions (especially the laughter/happiness) as if it was my own. Any fans of the genre that enjoys fun with their reading, some suspense and a lingering ending (that has you doing a face palm and dying for the next book like yesterday) will adore Save the Date :)

Lilli is a young, strong, determined, independent, smart and beautiful woman. She has a lot of weight on her shoulders and does whatever she needs to do to survive and help her father. Instead of things getting better and a bit easier with time, it seems to get worse and harder. Lilli does not want to let her father or herself down. But what can she possibly do to fix it all? After all she’s only one person.

Aiden is a great looking (player to the nth degree), smart, fun, funny and wealthy guy that is recently faced with a task, an almost impossible one at that, that if he does not accomplish. The well-being of his family, many employees and himself are at risk. He now turns his life around to do what is best for himself and those relying on him, he just needs one single person to agree to certain terms and then things will be back to rights. The problem is, who?

I cannot wait to see what’s to come of Lilli and Aiden! Especially after the way the book left off. These two belong together like April showers for May’s flowers and I’m hoping for the best for them.

Unbeknownst to them, he hides a tragic secret - one that forces him to move from place to place, never putting down roots for fear of discovery. He has learned the terrible price of love and will not suffer such loss again. When the dying Chrisselle is thrust upon him, he is determined to rid himself of her as soon as she recovers. However, the Scottish waif’s brave spirit and curious nature eventually break down his defenses. It is clear that fate has brought them together, but Ryce knows from experience that fate can be a cruel mistress.

Adult Material (18+)

Warning: This book contains sexually explicit content and scenes that some readers may find objectionable.

My Review:Another great, exciting and original BDSM read by Red Phoenix! I’ve read historical BDSM a few times before from various authors, have read many of Red’s works and have to say none of them were quite like this one (which is great!) To put a description to my feelings on this read and give you a better idea of what to expect the words that come to mind are stimulating, unpredictable, surprising, sensual and touching. A definite must read for fans of the genre, whether you like historical or not, you will enjoy His Scottish Pet.

Ryce is not from Scotland, but finds himself there trying to rid himself of haunting memories. No one knows the real Ryce but Ryce himself and he’ll keep it that way for as long as his lives. He prefers to keep to himself, hold his secrets deep within and not arouse any suspicions. When he meets Chrisselle the darkness within him begins to brighten. He’s a stranger to these emotions she brings forth and does not welcome them into his life. He’s an alpha hot Dom that will always leave any subbie panting for more, but can he resist what fate has tossed in his path?

I cannot wait to see where Red takes us in the next book. The ending (while satisfying), left a lot to the imagination; I know, many thoughts have been running through my mind since I read the last sentence and I’m hoping that Ryce and Chrisselle both get a VERY happily ever after :)

The Sons of Navarus series continues...

I am everything you seek. I am vampire.

Blessed with the gift of telepathy, Terek always knows what a woman wants. His gift has afforded him nightly sensual pleasures and exotic treats for centuries, but beneath the surface he yearns for much more.

Ilona can give him what his soul craves, but only if he trusts his heart. One fateful choice made out of desire puts all he cares for in danger. With a civil war and the threat of Archon hunters at every turn, this Son may lose everything if he can't find the balance between heart and mind.

My Review: Gabrielle has kept the series very strong going and full of surprises from our Sons of Navarus. Once again we learn even more about the Sons, with book 3 we now have an even clearer picture of their purpose and the why of their numbers. A definite great addition to any fans of paranormal romance to add on to their TBR piles and read ASAP :)

Oh Terek (sigh), such a dreamy vampire that would make any woman down on her knees just to give him the pleasure he deserves. He holds up a very strong front, but has suffered great loss in his past. It still affects him to this day, but he continues to bring happiness to others and save those in need that he can assist. He loves, but not in the way one with a heart of his caliber should. Feeling something new within him, a happiness he’s not remembered ever experiencing during his life as a vampire, he wonders what the mystery is behind the female beauty named Ilona.

Ilona is in one of those situations of being in “the wrong place at the wrong time” or the reverse, all depending how you look at it. She has a good human life, she has a job, she lives with family she loves and they love her back. Viciously attacked by a vampire while on her way home from a party, she must now face a new life; one without her family and in a strange new situation that she is having a very hard time accepting. She knows nothing of how to be other than what and who she is. The only thing she is sure of at this point is the pull, the strong attraction she has to Terek.

I feel each and every book of the series can be read as a stand-alone without the reader being lost or confused. But I truly recommend reading the series in full and in order so you can get the full effect of what the author has created for us all to enjoy.

The one thing Syrus Alcot, the God of Death Osiris in the Egyptian Pantheon, wants in all the worlds is the woman he loved and lost returned to him. When he gave up his powers, and freedom for a life of service he was promised her return. That was over one thousand years ago. A member of a team of dark gods charged with keeping humanity safe, he leads a loveless existence in New York City, searching for the one thing that could bring his wife back to him, a lapis scarab that was lost to him ages before.

Gwen Stapleton, a mild mannered librarian, is unaware that she holds the key to not only Syrus’ happiness, but her own. Seemingly stuck in a hopeless relationship with a man she doesn’t love, she has no idea that a chance meeting in Alphabet City will start a landslide to her heart’s content. Because Gwen is the keeper of the scarab, and is everything Syrus has ever wanted… and hes not the only one.

An Ancient evil is waking, and its servants will stop at nothing to see it seize its rightful place as the new pantheon of earth. And in order for Syrus and his team to save the world, Gwen is going to have to accept him, and show that love does make all the difference.

An excellent start to a very original paranormal series that is jam packed full of action, suspense, hotness and soul deep romance. I was pulled into the pages and not let go of until the very end, just how it should be when reading a good engrossing book. This is my very first time reading from this writing duo and it will NOT be my last! A definite must read for those that are fans of the genre and enjoy an original read.

Gwen is a beautiful, strong and simple woman. She works as a librarian during the day and mainly stays home at night. The one time she decides to go out for a night on the town with her best friend, all hell breaks loose! She sees and experiences things one has only read about and meets one of the HOTTEST male specimens, ever! He actually saves her and her friend from a vicious attack. Talk about being at the wrong place and the wrong time, or rather the right place at the right time ;)

Syrus is one amazing man, he’s also known as the God of death (AKA Osiris). He’s one sexual, strong alpha male that also has his very own ‘harem’ of woman to pass his time while awaiting his fated one, the one that holds the Relic, the key to his powers, his happiness and existence. Now all he needs for her to do is accept him and her place by his side.

These two are absolutely perfect for one another. I’d say without a doubt one of my most favorite couples of the year. Actually I loved many of the characters and I look forward to more in this series.
