Goodreads Blurb: Being held captive for winter never felt so good.

Lili is on her way to her cousin’s wedding when she thinks she hit a man in the road. Leaving the safety of her car to check on him turns out the be a big mistake, and pretty soon Lili is being abducted and held against her will by a super-sexy wolf who her body longs to touch. But just because he’s hot doesn’t mean she’s going to remain a captive.

Cade is not just an alpha, he’s a very wealthy man, used to getting what he wants. So when he attempts to abduct his ex-friend’s fiancĂ©, in an attempt to teach him a lesson, he doesn’t expect to wind up with the wrong woman. Just how did he wind up with the maid of honor? And why does the woman melt every inch of him? But when the woman escapes, real danger awaits. And Cade must convince her to see beyond his deception if he wants to keep her alive.

My Review: Milly sure knows how to write one hot and engrossing read! She had me hooked after reading Sharp Change and I find myself still hooked and looking for more after reading this story. This is a short, erotic paranormal read that grabs a hold of you and does not let go! Any paranormal romance reader that enjoys it nice and hot will enjoy the brief escape they’ll get with Wynter’s Captive.

Talk about timing! Lili is on her way to her cousins wedding (and in a huge rush), when she suddenly sees someone or something in the road. Thinking she hit the person/thing she pulls over and checks to see if they are alright. BAD IDEA Lili! The male whisks Lili away, abducting her and bringing her to some other males. Abduction… bad! Hot man in front of her right now… good! Very good indeed!

A 4.5 rating for me rounded to a five. My only reason for not giving it a perfect 5 is I was looking for a bit more of a build between Lili and Cade. They are a great couple, the attraction, desire and antics between the two make you want to know more about their future as a couple. I look forward to what Milly has in store for us next :)

Review Dark Wolf Rising (Bloodrunners #4) By Rhyannon Byrd

Goodreads Blurb: Eric Drake, a powerful Dark Wolf, has never trusted himself around human females-preferring to mate only within his pack. That is, until he encounters Chelsea Smart snooping around Silvercrest pack land in search of her missing sister. Secretly, Chelsea thinks Eric is the sexiest man she's ever seen, though she is wary of his potent Alpha energy. Then it's discovered that Chelsea's sister is being held by a pack of vicious Lycans, and Eric heroically leaps into action. Now, Chelsea will risk everything-her body and soul-to surrender to the passion that will mark her as Eric's woman for all eternity...if they survive.

My Review: Dark has never been so sexy! An original paranormal romance read that I’m definitely adding to my pile of rereads! Dark Wolf Rising was a great reading experience for me especially since it’s my first time escaping with anything by Rhyannon Byrd (great job Rhyannon!)  A MUST read (in my eyes) for all fans of paranormal romance :)

Chelsea is on a mission to find her missing sister, Perry. Weeks in to her search, she finds herself getting closer to finding Perry. But she’s running out of funds and has also run into a slight wall. A very hot wall of muscle and man named Eric. He demands she removes herself from the land she is currently resting on. Chelsea, being the strong, determined and very stubborn woman she is, refuses. From that point on there on many things… change.

I adore a hot alpha male and let me tell you… Eric is 100% alpha hotness! He is a pure lycan, practically royalty in the eyes of his fellow lycans. But (sadly) he’s also considered unsafe, a loose cannon and a dark danger to all. He is most definitely undeserving of those negative labels but cannot bring himself to argue. That is until he meets the full of spunk human, Chelsea and begins to see everything in a whole new light. Darkness be damned!

This is the 4th book in the Bloodrunners series and can definitely be read as a stand-alone without the reader feeling lost. I love the concept of this story and the way it brings those that are ‘not supposed to be’ together, together in the very best of ways. We all know once fate has its hands in the pot, all you can do is ride it out and let nature take its course. I plan to go back to the start of the series and read them all up, and then look into what other goodies this author has out there :)

Goodreads Blurb: An Inside Out novella...

The secret life of Rebecca and the men who have seduced her.
These are the journals Sara never sees, but you the reader, will!

More details!

The journals read like stories and begin the first time Rebecca visits the gallery in the INSIDE OUT TRILOGY. You will meet Mark, Chris, Ava, Amanda, Ricco, and all the series characters as she does AND there are tons of clues to what happens in BEING ME in the first 4 serials. They are woven within the story ready for your discovery, as is Rebecca's dark, erotic journey.

My Review: A teasing, very short, hot and mysterious read that any erotic romance reader will fully enjoy!

Rebecca’s Lost Journals Volume 1 gives us the beginning of back ground information that leads to Lisa Renee Jones’s Inside out Trilogy. We get introduced to the real life of the mysterious Rebecca, her introduction to being a submissive, her real life experience, jobs and her Master all direct from Rebecca herself instead of being told by another (as it is in the Inside Out Trilogy). The REAL mystery still stands… Who is her master?

I look forward to reading the rest of the journals to see where everything goes. There’s really not much more I can say without giving anything away :)

Book Spotlight & Excerpt: "Caressed by a Crimson Moon" Amanda Greene

Consumed by madness and tormented by dark memories of blood and death, Hadrian Lucretius, King of the Validus Clan, has returned after living in self-imposed exile for nearly three hundred and fifty years.

To maintain peace with the vampires, Eva Maldonado is offered as a sacrifice to the crazed vampire king by her father, the alpha of the Silveria Shifter Pack. Hadrian’s reputation is both legendary and lethal; he is ruthless, bloodthirsty, lusty, and soulless. When Eva arrives at the ancient fortress high in the Carpathian Mountains, she is shocked to find a ravaged man with dark burning eyes filled with loneliness and dangerous desire.

Would she be his lover…or his prey? His savior…or his victim? Would Hadrian lure her into madness or would their perilous passion be their redemption?

Hadrian’s lips caressed her ear as he asked, “What is it you really want?”
Sensual heat fired her blood. Struggling to find her voice, she swallowed hard and whispered her confession, “You.”
The scent of her arousal set alarms off in his head. Need slammed into Hadrian so hard it rocked his entire body, making him tremble with urgent desire.
“You shouldn’t,” he grated, forcing himself to move away from her. The sexual heat of her body was an inferno and he needed the bite of the cold to maintain his ever-slipping, ever fragile control.
Eva’s sigh was one of frustration as she rounded to face him. “Do you honestly think I don’t know that?” she snapped.
The corners of Hadrian’s lips twitched, but he did not smile.
“I apologize for my tone—”
“This is not a formal conversation, you may speak freely.”
Eva shook her head. “This was a mistake,” she said cursing herself for telling Hadrian she wanted him.
Nothing could happen between them. They were too different, he a king, she a bastard peasant, half-breed who meant nothing. He was crazy and she, well, she wasn’t so sure didn’t have a few screws loose after last night. Hell, they weren’t even the same species!
Deciding it would be best if she returned to the castle before she suffered any more embarrassment and before her self-esteem took a hit, she had to get one thing off her chest.
“We can pretend this,” she waved a hand at the space between them, “never happened, but I—”
“Why would we pretend this,” he mimicked her, “never happened?”
Refusing to answer, Eva continued, “I need to know. Have you planted thoughts in my head, making me believe I’m attracted to you?”
Hadrian balked as if she had gravely insulted him. “I have never invaded your mind. Your emotions and thoughts are your own.”
Eva ground her teeth. If he was telling the truth then she was in more trouble than she wanted to admit. It would be easier to blame the vampire for the turmoil that ragged within her. Shaking her head, she could not think about this right now. She just needed to get away from him and his intoxicatingly fresh male scent and hungry eyes.
She brushed past him and headed for the labyrinth.
“Wait.”
It was not a command, but a request and Eva’s body froze against her will.
“What happened in the solarium and…all the other times, I want you to know that…it will not happen again. I’m deeply sorry for causing you confusion.”
“Forget it, nothing ever actually happened.” And nothing ever will.
She turned back toward the maze, but he stood, blocking the entrance.
His large frame shook, his muscles strained as if he were forcing himself to remain still. His eyes focused on the snow that covered his bare feet.
When he spoke, his words were strained, “I must make you understand.”
Was he going to try to scare her into not wanting him?
He looked up, his gaze meeting hers. Eva swayed from the force of her shock.
His eyes were an impossible blood red, the white completely consumed by the deep crimson.
“As you can see, I am not like other vampires. I am the monster that demons fear. And,” his eyes slowly roamed over her body, she gasped as if he had physically caressed her, “I want you. I want to drink you to the quick as I claim your body. I want to feel your heart slow beneath my lips as I come deep within you.”
Eva closed her eyes as his words settled over her. How could she find what he was saying sexy? God, she had to be twisted. After all the time living amongst her father’s pack, her mind must have snapped. He was describing how he wanted to kill her and she was getting hot?
“My grip on reality is fragile, my control razor thin.”
The harshness of his voice faltered every so slightly and Eva snapped her eyes open.
Anguish. Despair. Loneliness. Hate. It was plan to see the emotions that flickered to life within his red eyes. He spoke of being a monster, but all she saw was a tortured man. She did not doubt what he said was true, yet, as she stood, bewitched by his glowing red eyes, she knew evil was not his true nature.
Slowly, she raised a hand, cautiously reaching out to him. She expected him to growl at her, to slap her hand away or vanish. Instead, he stood firm as a marble statue. His hellish gaze fixed on her.
Comfort. Something within her cried out to comfort this vampire.
He admitted he wants to kill me.
Eva snapped her hand back. Preparing to scream as loud as she could. Taking in a large gulp of air, she prayed that Falcon would find her. Rescue her from—
“No,” his whisper was barely audible. “Touch. Me.” She had not seen him move, but now, he towered over her. “Please.” His eyes narrowed as if willing her to reach out to him. “Please, Eva, I need you touch me.”~

Goodreads Blurb:
The one thing Syrus Alcot, the God of Death Osiris in the Egyptian Pantheon, wants in all the worlds is the woman he loved and lost returned to him. When he gave up his powers, and freedom for a life of service he was promised her return. That was over one thousand years ago. A member of a team of dark gods charged with keeping humanity safe, he leads a loveless existence in New York City, searching for the one thing that could bring his wife back to him, a lapis scarab that was lost to him ages before.

Gwen Stapleton, a mild mannered librarian, is unaware that she holds the key to not only Syrus’ happiness, but her own. Seemingly stuck in a hopeless relationship with a man she doesn’t love, she has no idea that a chance meeting in Alphabet City will start a landslide to her heart’s content. Because Gwen is the keeper of the scarab, and is everything Syrus has ever wanted… and hes not the only one.

An Ancient evil is waking, and its servants will stop at nothing to see it seize its rightful place as the new pantheon of earth. And in order for Syrus and his team to save the world, Gwen is going to have to accept him, and show that love does make all the difference.

An excellent start to a very original paranormal series that is jam packed full of action, suspense, hotness and soul deep romance. I was pulled into the pages and not let go of until the very end, just how it should be when reading a good engrossing book. This is my very first time reading from this writing duo and it will NOT be my last! A definite must read for those that are fans of the genre and enjoy an original read.

Gwen is a beautiful, strong and simple woman. She works as a librarian during the day and mainly stays home at night. The one time she decides to go out for a night on the town with her best friend, all hell breaks loose! She sees and experiences things one has only read about and meets one of the HOTTEST male specimens, ever! He actually saves her and her friend from a vicious attack. Talk about being at the wrong place and the wrong time, or rather the right place at the right time ;)

Syrus is one amazing man, he’s also known as the God of death (AKA Osiris). He’s one sexual, strong alpha male that also has his very own ‘harem’ of woman to pass his time while awaiting his fated one, the one that holds the Relic, the key to his powers, his happiness and existence. Now all he needs for her to do is accept him and her place by his side.

These two are absolutely perfect for one another. I’d say without a doubt one of my most favorite couples of the year. Actually I loved many of the characters and I look forward to more in this series.

"To Trust a Thief" Treasure Hunt

Welcome to Day 4 of the To Trust a Thief treasure hunt!
Guest author Michelle McLean is here to share her new Entangled Scandalous release with us! TO TRUST A THIEF just came out, and it's like a Victorian Romancing the stone--which means treasure! Michelle is here spreading the treasure hunt far and wide. You can buy TO TRUST A THIEF here for your Nook or here for your Kindle for only $2.99. ----

First of all, I want to thank the Romance Book Junkies for hosting me today. I am thrilled to be here! To Trust a Thief is a tale in which a young woman in Victorian England must trust a master thief she intends to betray in order to find a legendary necklace that could save her fiancĂ© and family. But in searching for the necklace, she may lose her heart. Since the story centers on the hunt for a treasure, I thought it would be fun to celebrate its release with a treasure hunt of my own :) The clue for Day 4 of the hunt focuses on my main character Min’s fiancĂ© Arthur. Their engagement is one of convenience. Arthur is one of Min’s dearest friends who has a penchant for getting himself into trouble (of the gambling debt variety). His ailing grandmother wants nothing more than to see him settled before she dies, and Min has a well-meaning guardian of her own who has been throwing her at every eligible bachelor in England. Their engagement is a convenient way to get their relatives off their backs and buy them a little time while they search for the priceless Courtland necklace.

Here’s the rundown – from Jan 21st to Feb 1st, you can join me in a treasure hunt for five fabulous prizes. I’ll be making the rounds on five wonderful blogs and will leave a clue at each one. The clue will give you a hint both as to what the prize is, and where you need to go on our To Trust a Thief treasure map to enter the giveaway for that day. You’ll also get a few snippets of the book and a chance for extra entries if you solve a special riddle. Follow these instructions and see if you can find the treasure!

Step 1 – Here is your clue for Day 4: Arthur’s locket contains a portrait clue; if you visit his clinic you could get one too!
Step 2 – CLICK HERE to go to the treasure map.
Step 3 – Once there, click on the location on the map that matches the clue.
Step 4 – Fill in the form to enter to win the prize and read a little snippet of the book just for fun!

Extra Entries Clue = There will be an opportunity for extra entries if you can figure out the riddle of the villainous Lord Rellik's name. The clue will be listed on the entry form, but I'll list it here as well to give you a little more thinking time. There is something sinister about Rellik’s name; figure it out, get extra points for the game. Here is a hint, if you are in doubt; try reading it backwards, it might help you out. Have fun hunting!! And good luck finding your treasures :)

Guest Post: Laura DeLuca author of "Destiny" & "Destiny Unveiled"

The Destiny Soundtrack
When I was writing Destiny and Destiny Unveiled, I was working at an insurance company with my good friend and unofficial editor, Erin Coffey.  Erin and I used to proof read a chapter together each day after hours. After spending a day dealing with a bunch of angry and obnoxious clients (some of which became characters in Destiny), making fun of my typographical errors was therapeutic for us. I still laugh at her side comments on my original manuscripts. Things like, “Um, are you sure you want Darron toying his hoagie? That sounds a little dirty.” LOL
As we were reading, another thing that we did was create a soundtrack for the Destiny series, in the hopes that the books might someday be made into a movie. There were a few songs I already had in mind, but Erin was an essential part of picking out the full soundtrack.  So I had to give her some credit, especially since we spent literally hours proof reading together.  Now, this soundtrack is probably going to show our age. Erin and I, in addition to being co-workers for years, are also proud alumni of the Wildwood Catholic graduating class of 1994. Most of the songs we picked are ones that were popular in our high school and college years.  So without further ado, here is the soundtrack for the Destiny Series.
Disc  One - Destiny
Do You Believe In Magic - The Lovin' Spoonful   - Yes, this song is almost too clichĂ©, but it just fits so well because the very first question posed to my heroine is whether or not she believes in magick. I can see the opening credits rolling as this song plays, leading up to Gabby and her friends at their lockers.
So She Dances – Josh Groban – It may be true that Josh Groban is the only man alive I would actually consider having an affair with, but that’s not the only reason he’s on my soundtrack. This song would work wonderfully in Chapter 6 when Darron meets Gabriella’s mother for the first time.
I Can’t Get Next to You – Annie Lennox  This song was destined to be in the coffee house scene in Chapter 12, a scene where Gabrielle and Darron get into a heated argument.  It has a nice beatnik beat that would fit a coffee house theme, and the lyrics are perfect for this pair of star crossed witches.
“I can turn the grey sky blue
And I can make it rain whenever I want it to
And I can build a castle from a single grain of sand
And I can make a ship sail on dry land
But my life is incomplete and I'm so blue
'Cause I can't get next to you”

My Destiny – Kathleen McPee   This is my favorite song in the whole soundtrack. It would play in the background during the dance scene. I can see the circles of light swirling as Gabby and Darron gaze into each other’s eyes   Just listen to the video below, and if you read the book, you’ll know why I love it so much. It’s more than just a track on the soundtrack. It’s the official Destiny theme song.

Lullaby - Josh Groban   Yes, Josh is back again. I admit it. I’m a Gronbanite. But can you think of a better man to sing at a funeral? Yes, someone is going to die, but you’ll need to read the book to see who doesn’t make it to the sequel.
Underneath My Clothes – Shakira   I think the title of this song speaks for itself. I picked this ballad for a love scene because I like that it’s told from the point of view of the woman getting all that she knows she deserves.
Oh, Ho Ho, Its Magic – Pilot   This is the closing song for book number one. But don’t think that just because it’s a little upbeat, that everything turns out okay. Obviously, there are still going to be issues to resolve or we wouldn’t have…

Disc Two -  Destiny Unveiled
Graduation (Friends Forever) – Vitamin C  Okay, so I told you I’m a dork from the nineties. But you have to admit, this is the perfect opening song for a high school graduation scene. Although Erin did threaten to kick my butt if I ever played this tune anywhere near her.
Miami – Will Smith   I am nothing if not diverse, so we have to throw a little Will Smith into the mix. When the gang’s plane arrives in Miami, I can imagine this song playing as scenes from all the Miami hot spots flash by.
Magic – Colby Caillat  This would be the beach scene, and these lyrics totally sum up Gabriella’s feeling for Darron.
“You've got magic inside your finger tips
Its leaking out all over my skin
Every time that I get close to you
your makin’ me weak with the way you
look through those eyes”

Brain Stew – Green Day  There is one scene in Destiny Unveiled where Darron really loses control, and this song comes as close as possible to describing his emotions at that time. Of course since this is a YA book, we would have to bleep out a few curse words...
I Feel the Magic – Belinda Carisle – This one Erin hand picked out for me, mostly because she got really sick of me singing Yo Ho, Ho Its Magic all day.   I had never heard it before, but I knew it was perfect. It really helps tie things up in the final chapters.
It’s the End of the World – R.E.M. – This would be the closing credits, and I definitely think it hints that there is more to come…and guess what they’re will be….

Destiny’s Path (tentative title), the third book is the Destiny series is well underway, and will be dedicated to Erin to thank her for all her hard work.  Time for us to start planning the next soundtrack! In the meantime, I still have these soundtracks in my car. Yes, I actually made CDS and listened to them every single day at work the whole time I was writing the books, much to Erin’s displeasure. I know. I’m such a dork… In closing, I just want to thank my friend Erin Coffey one more time, for her help in the soundtrack selections, for her unwavering support, and of course, for not killing me the 66th time I belted out “Miami” while she was trying to work.  I’m really not very good at rapping…Love you Erin!!

Gabriella is a witch. The problem is, she doesn't remember. She repressed the memories of her powers years ago when her mother was murdered. Now, the warlock who was responsible for her mother's death has set his sights on Gabriella. He is determined to use her fear to turn her to the dark side of magick…even if it kills her. Her mother's spirit is reaching out to warn her, but even that she pushes away. Desperate to save her daughter, the spirit finds a male witch–one that just happens to be in love with Gabriella. Darron is more than willing to help but the two young witches will have way more to battle than just an evil warlock. There are overbearing jocks and petty rich girls who get tempers flaring and often set Gabriella and Darron at odds.
There is more to the story than Gabriella and Darron could even imagine. There are terrible secrets to be revealed, battles to be waged, and lives will be lost. Only after Gabriella and Darron both come to terms with who they really are, and open themselves up to the true meaning of magick, can they have any hope of fulfilling their destiny.

Gabriella and Darron thought their magickal battle was over when they defeated the evil warlock, Richard. When her Aunt Donna seeks Gabriella's help in rescuing her catatonic daughter from the Dark Coven, Gabriella discovers that her cousin holds a power within her that would be catastrophic in the hands of the evil witches. Gabriella's coven sets out on a journey that may be their last. Along the way, they meet new allies, face devastating treachery, and battle not only the Dark Coven, but the darkness within themselves. When Gabriella finally comes face to face with the cousin she never knew existed, her true destiny is unveiled, and the fate of the mortal world is in her hands.

Destiny Excerpt:
Her eyes scanned the room, from the pale blue sofa to the bloody dent in the wall. But she didn’t need her eyes to know Darron was there. Her heart sensed his presence before her eyes saw him lying in a heap on the ground. His body shuddered with occasional spasms, and even though he wasn’t fully conscious, his lips were twisted in a grimace of pain.
Uttering a gasp of surprise, Gabriella flew to his side. She knelt beside him, and choked back a sob as she took his hand in her own. She saw his chest rise and fall and was glad to know was alive, but she felt helpless as she watched his face contort in pain. She noticed something wet and sticky on her fingertips. She gently titled his head and saw a large gash that looked like it needed medical attention.  The skin around the gash was so deeply bruised it looked almost black.
 “Darron, what happened to you?”
He didn’t move or reply. Gabriella moved her hand from the cut on his forehead, and her fingers dripped with blood. She bit her lower lip with fear. She knew enough about head injuries to know that the wound could be serious. She grabbed a few tissues from a box on the coffee table, and tried to apply pressure to the wound, but it was useless. The tissues were soaked through in seconds.
“Darron?” She squeezed his hand, and fought back tears of fear and frustration.  “Darron, please open your eyes. Please be all right!”
He squirmed and groaned a little in response. Looking at his contorted features, Gabriella felt incompetent and useless. She didn’t know what to do to help him. The cut must need stitches. The blood was gushing through her fingertips, and she was sure his life was slipping away just as quickly.
More than anything, Gabriella wanted to help Darron, to end his suffering. Her thoughts, her desperation, caused something deep inside of her to stir. Something that had long been napping was awoken. The power she had fought so hard to deny was forcing its way to the surface. This time she didn’t struggle against that power. Her instinct to hide from it was finally overcome by the thought of losing someone else she cared about.

Gabriella was pulling strength and warmth from the earth, as though her legs were tree roots taking nourishment from the element. A tingling sensation began in the tips of her toes and spread slowly though her body as she breathed in the essence of the element of air.  Her blood flowed and grew warm, the element of water, bringing the power to the surface. She was overcome by a vigorous strength as she envisioned her spirit encircled by the element of fire. She felt so powerful that she thought she could stop the world from churning if that was what she wished. Gabriella focused the power, remembering for a moment her mother’s lessons. She looked down at her battered friend. She willed him to open his eyes and look at her. She demanded it of him.
Gabriella would have thought it was impossible, but she felt herself grow warmer. Her face dripped with perspiration. The power within her reached a climax. Then finally, when she thought she might burst, she felt the energy release. It seeped through her fingers, and shined with an illumination that only she could see. She heard herself chanting unfamiliar words, and scarcely recognized her own voice.
“By the power of earth, water, fire and air,
Heal this man who’s in my care.
Goddess, hear your daughter’s plea.
As I will it, so mote it be!”
Gabriella repeated the words three times. Three was the number of power. Then she watched as the wound on Darron’s forehead healed before her eyes, becoming smaller and smaller, until finally it was gone. The blood was still warm and sticky, but beneath the blood, the skin was smooth and unmarred. Even the horrible bruise had vanished. Gabriella stared in open astonishment, marveling at the work she had done.

Destiny Unveiled Excerpt:
After collecting the offering from his followers, the leader returned to the center of the circle and the waiting initiate. With one quick motion, he sliced open his own palm. He held his hand over the cup, letting his blood drip slowly into the chalice, until the wound miraculously healed before Darron's startled eyes. When the chalice was full, he carried it to the eager initiate who took the cup firmly into his hands and tilted it towards his lips.
"As this blood makes you one with our flesh, so your soul follows to become one with the darkness," the English voice intoned.
As the initiate drained the last of the liquid in the chalice, his hood fell away, revealing a blonde ponytail pulled back over a pale white face, made even paler by the outline of bright red blood around his lips. Darron watched in stunned, horrified silence as his own face turned to meet his gaze. Eyes turned as black as coals stared back at Darron with a grim smile of satisfaction.
"Rise Darron," the leader commanded. And as he spoke, he lifted the hood from his head. Rise brother of the Dark Coven."

Goodreads Blurb:

A great continuation from Destiny (book 1 in the series); it continued to be exciting and magical, actually even more so! Even though this book is written as a continuation it can definitely be read as a stand-alone with the reader still able to get the full impact of what the author presents. Another book that many fans of the genre are sure to fully enjoy!

Gabriella has now accepted all that was once buried deep and has also grown to be very powerful in the short time of having her full power. Thinking they are all finally safe from the evil warlock, witches and battling. They start to get back to living normally (well as normal as witches possibly can) when Gabrielle is approached by a woman she finds out is her aunt and is asked by her to help get her daughter (Gabriella’s cousin) back from the evil clutches of the coven they all thought would be at rest. Now Gabrielle, Darron and their loyal friends find themselves in another battle, one they are not so sure they can win.

All in all a very satisfying read that feeds to the reader’s imagination and pulls them into the pages for a thrilling emotional adventure. I look forward to more work from Laura DeLuca and wonder if she plans to make another book in the Destiny series :)

There are overbearing jocks and petty rich girls who get tempers flaring and often set Gabrielle and Darron at odds.

There is more to the story than Gabrielle and Darron could even imagine. There are terrible secrets to be revealed, battles to be waged, and lives will be lost. Only after Gabrielle and Darron both come to terms with who they really are, and open themselves up to the true meaning of magick, can they have any hope of fulfilling their destiny.

An exciting, magical and vividly written YA paranormal romance that many fans of the genre will sure enjoy!

Gabrielle lost her mother many years ago and though unaware, her memories right along with her. These memories are of very great importance to her wellbeing as well as the wellbeing of many others around her because right along with her memories, are her powers which also remain hidden deep and she requires them both if she is to survive. Now she just needs to learn and accept her true calling that she persistently denies to no end. Even after Darren offers his help and gives her proof of the reality of the situation and their powers.

Destiny has great characters, all are very lovable (well except for the bad guy, but even he was likeable, sometimes). There is also excellent character growth and learning experiences all while maintaining a touching and action packed read. I look forward to reading the next in the series to see what blossoms and what fizzles :)
