Goodreads Blurb:
Japheth the Tainted is on the hunt for a mysterious demon vampire. But meeting her face-to-face might disarm his warrior spirit—and spark an unquenchable passion with apocalyptic consequences.

As a fallen angel, Japheth is determined to make his way back to heaven by staying pure and slaying hellspawn. With a new scourge of vampires unleashed by a blood-drinking demon, the Prince of Thirst, there’s plenty to be done. But Japheth is after one vampire in particular—the one they call the Angel Slayer.

Rose Harley never wanted to be a vampire, but the Prince of Thirst can turn even the kindest soul into a soldier of hell. Feeling abandoned by God, she stalks the West Village taking revenge on his angels—until she meets her match.

When Japheth and Rose encounter each other, the battle is fierce and charged with desire. But when they discover a common enemy—the Prince of Thirst himself—they form a dangerous alliance that could either cost them their eternal lives, or spark a love more powerful than heaven or hell.

I’ve read plenty of paranormal stories with vampires, shifters, witches, angels, but never one like this. It’s very exciting, magical and has an excellent build between the two main characters. A worthwhile read to escape with for any fans of the genre.

Rose is an amazing, woman. She’s strong, brave, beautiful and different for one of her kind. Sadly she finds herself in a place she does not want to be, nor does she belong. But she has no choice but to play the role and obey her master until she can find a way to be free. Meeting the hunk of an Angel Japheth just may be her salvation, but can she resist the instant and constant attraction he brings forth in order to please her master?

Japheth is an amazing male. He’s handsome, strong, loyal, brave and a killer when need be. He lives a very lonely life and finds his solace in fighting (and killing the crap out of) evil. But it’s no longer enough for him. He does not get the satisfaction he always has. When he meets Rose, he finds himself rethinking the rules and strongly desires to change his ways. But will his conscience allow it to happen?

The entire first half of the book was a build between Rose and Japheth; really, more like a tease for the reader, but so very worth it in the end. This is the second book of The Seven Signs series and the first I’ve read. Since at no point was I lost or confused in the story, I can honestly say it can be read as a stand-alone. I have full intentions to look into book 1 and all that follow after.
