My Review:
Amanda Forester is a new author for me and I was thoroughly impressed. I really enjoyed this book from beginning to the end. This is the second book in the series but it could be read as a stand a lone. I read the whole book before realizing it was the second in the series and I had no unanswered questions or loopholes etc.
David Campbell, our hero, is a strong leader with an important place in society and Isabelle Tynsdale is one of those heroines that can't stay out of trouble and is constantly getting herself into funny and not so funny predicaments instead of just telling the truth. The romantic development was slow but not a bad thing they just had lots of baggage to clear up before they could even entertain the thought of being together.
The author did a great job writing this story it was funny, fast paced, never boring and everything was written with vivid details. The author also did a great job wrapping everything up for the ending and I couldn't have been happier with the way it ended. This book made me laugh, cry and fall in love with the characters and I just can't wait to read the first and third books in the series. I would highly recommend this book to historical romance lovers and highland romance lovers. You will not be disappointed, guaranteed.
