My Review:
I've read many of Eve's novels and I would have to say this one is my favorite. She does not disappoint. This is a story about a kick ass vampire heroine named Helen that's very old and very powerful and has the attitude to match. She meets her match when she goes shopping one day for a blood slave and is shown a Lycan named Gareth a alpha male that has been outcast by his pack. He is extremely dangerous himself and no one has wanted to bother with him yet but Helen sees him as a challenge, a pet to be trained. Their relationship starts out rough. She thinks of him as a pet and he wants to catch her unaware so that he can rip her head off. Eventually the sexual attraction between them takes over and instead of ripping her head off he rips her cloths off. After some amazing one of a kind sex they start to get along and eventually fall in love.
Eve does it once again writing a novella that flows so perfectly it feels like your reading a full length novel nothing is rushed in her stories. I do wish the story had been longer just to get some more of Helen and Gareth and to see were their story leads to next. Fortunately, it looks like there is going to be a book 2.
I would highly recommend this book to fans of erotica and paranormal romance. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. This is the best book I've read all year.
