Today for the Wiccan Haus Event I have the creater of the series her to do a guest post about how Wiccan Haus came to be born. Don't forget to comment at the end for another chance at winning the first 3 books in the series. The winner will be drawn tomorrow.
I think the first question I get asked when people talk to
me about The Wiccan Haus is how did the idea come to me. Well the answer is
Carmagedon…not the one that was all over the news in LA but the one that no one
talked about the day I loaded up my two boys and drove from VA to Massachusetts.
A trip which should have taken me 10.5 hours took over 18 to
say I was frustrated would be an understatement. We made it out of Virginia just fine only
to get 30 minutes in MD to be stopped dead in traffic due to an accident.
Luckily I was able to get off on the exit my mother used to live at so she via
cell phone was able to direct me the back roads.
Finally moving again we hit traffic jam as soon as we hit Delaware. Not our side
this time the other one. Traffic on our side crept at 5 miles an hour for 5
miles. Better than what they hit on the other side it was backed up over the
bridge on to the Jersey Pike. So my thought was once we got on the Jersey Pike
things would get better, due to construction on Tapan Zee we had already
decided on George
Washington Bridge.
Due to construction and the fact that the Rest Areas were all out of gas our
trip through NJ was a nightmare.
So During those hours I was banging my head against the
steering wheel and cursing the air blue, as my boys giggled and laughed at my
frustration, I started thinking about a place where I could go and relax, like
most authors I always have a slew of characters just hanging out in my head
ready to jump in for the next story I might be working on. And I had been
wanting to jump in and try my hand at paranormal at this point the only thing
in my head was that I wanted the name to include Haus and that it would somehow
be like fantasy island.
And yes we were stopped dead in the Bronx, Connecticut and even on the Mass PIKE. When
I finally got to my destination I needed a place of healing and a spa. But now
that I could rest my brain was going a mile a minute about this idea. Who owned
it and why? Do humans know about paranormals and if not how do the two of them work
together? And what if the world was shared what if this world was created by a
group of us?
Thus the Wiccan Haus was born. So come along for the ride meet the siblings,
the card reading receptionist, the were tiger head of security and a lot
romance along the way.
I have to be honest I get more excited about reading how
other author see this world then when my own books get released.
I hope you love the world as much as we do. Follow the

That may have been a rough road trip but it brought about a great series idea! I'm looking forward to more books in the series.

We love Visitors and Thank you Danielle for hosts us :)
UGH! I hate traffic! Sounds like one heck of a horrid trip, but it's always fun when you have your own movie running in your head.

We just moved to the East coast and are finding that what we are used to on the freeway (60 mile means an hours travel) is not the case anymore.
I look forward to reading your work.

I can so totally relate. I live in Oklahoma - no real traffic jams there, but we go to Houston and New Orleans to visit family or go to Dallas for Baseball and OMG. I just want to scream. I think it's worse for me, because we aren't used to it at all. :)
I read the first of the series and definitely plan to read the rest. I loved it. Thanks so much for coming up with it.

We've had some "fun" times in New Jersey and Maryland too. It was a real trip. It's so cool how you came up with the idea for this series. I'm so very interested in finding out more about Wiccan Haus and the people in it. Thanks for sharing.

I love learning how an idea starts and is used. It is amazing how our frustrations will lead us to bigger things.
