This is a feature/meme created by Danya @ A Tapestry of Words where you choose a book each week leading up to Christmas and say why it's made it onto your wishlist – and I'd love to see what books everyone else is hoping to get! So if you want to make your own blog post about it, please link up here. :)
My pick for this week is...
"Grave Witch" by Kalayna Price
Series: Alex Craft #1
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Pages: 325
Author's website: http://www.kalayna.com
Published: September 2010 by Roc
Goodreads Blurb:
As a private investigator and consultant for the police, Alex Craft has seen a lot of dark magic. But even though she’s on good terms with Death himself—who happens to look fantastic in a pair of jeans—nothing has prepared her for her latest case. Alex is investigating a high profile murder when she’s attacked by the ‘shade’ she’s raising, which should be impossible. To top off her day, someone makes a serious attempt on her life, but Death saves her. Guess he likes having her around…
To solve this case Alex will have to team up with tough homicide detective Falin Andrews. Falin seems to be hiding something—though it’s certainly not his dislike of Alex—but Alex knows she needs his help to navigate the tangled webs of mortal and paranormal politics, and to track down a killer wielding a magic so malevolent, it may cost Alex her life…and her soul.
I've heard wonderful things about this book and it sounds great. I really enjoy books involving witches such as Anya Bast's series Elemental Witches. The cover on this book helps too it's awesome.

Oh yeah, that´s a great pick! My Christmas wishlist is sheer endless.. But I plan on giving it to my whole family! :)
This one looks good, great cover. Sounds like it might have a touch of romance too!
@ Christine, I think that's a great idea! I have way more books on my wish list than my husband is going to be willing to buy me. hehe =)
@ Diana, I hope it has some romance too because some Urban Fantasy has little to none and that makes me crazy.
I just read this book and totally enjoyed it. There were lots of supernatural elements in it and lots of action. And yes, there is kind of a romance, but like many UF books, the romance is left up in the air and isn't the main focus of the book. As a first book for a series, I thought it was a very good start.
@ JenM, Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate your input. =)
