In My Mailbox (1)

Photobucket

The in my mailbox meme is hosted by The Story Siren. This meme is one of my favorites and I really enjoy the in my mailbox vlogs. I always love hearing about what books everyone received during the week so I thought I would join in. Although I'm not yet brave enough to do a vlog. =)

Books I won:

Daughter of Darkness I'm so excited about reading this one. I loved V.C. Andrews' Flowers in the attic series and this one looks really interesting, I won this book from Roxanne Roads @ Fangtastic Books. Thanks Roxanne!

Lord of the Deep (Elementals, Book 1) I won this book from Sheri @ Urban Girl Reader. Thanks Sherri!

I won 5 ebooks from Paranormal Haven this week as well. Thank you Stephanie and Athenna!
Eternal DesireA Halloween to RememberMy Love Eternal

Cry Sanctuary: Book 1 of Red Rock Pass series  I won this one from Diva's Bookcase. Thanks Yvonne!

Books I got at the library:
On Death and Dying (Scribner Classics) "On Death and Dying" by Elisabeth Kubbler-Ross

On Grief and Grieving: Finding the Meaning of Grief Through the Five Stages of Loss "On Grief and Grieving" by Elisabeth Kubbler-Ross.
(I checked these out because unfortunately my mother -n- law is dying from stage four breast and lung cancer. These were highly recommended to me by my doctor.)

Omg, I so sorry for your Mom-in-law!
Last year my grandfather died and these were some of the darkest days in my life!
I wish you so much strengh!

Aside from that, great haul of books! Maybe you´ll find some comfort in them!
*hugs*

Nice haul! I'll have to get an eReader soon so that I can start saving some money on books and maybe score an ARC or two.

Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. My mom passed away last year from breast cancer... It's still tough. If you ever want to chat more feel free to e-mail me. Keep your chin up.

Wow you won a ton! I used to LOVE all of the VC Andrews books and read every single one. But then she passed away and someone else is writing for her and I stopped liking them. I only read a few but wasn't impressed. That was YEARS ago though so maybe this impersonator is getting better at being VC Andrews. I'm curious as to what you'll think of this book though.

Jeremy said...

@ Candace, I did not know any of that because I haven't read her books in over 10 years. I hope that this book is going to be as good. I can't beleive that they would even let someone else write under another author's name.

I can't believe how many books you won! Well done you :)

I hope the books from the library help you as much as possible in this difficult time.

Chrissie said...

Wow, you won so many good books! I'm with Candace - I stopped reading VC Andrews after somebody started writing in her name. They just weren't as good. But that was a while ago so she may have improved by now ;)

I'm so sorry about your mother-in-law *hugs*

I agree with the above comment about VC Andrews - loved HER but her ghost writer, not so much.

I have to admit to reading "Flowers In The Attic" series when I was in my middle to late 20's years ago... They were some of the most heartbreaking books I had ever read and the most compelling....
Great bunch of wins and great bunch of reading Danielle, enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by my post earlier, am catching up after being offline all day today!
