I buy most of my books used. I'm very careful in the selection. You can find barely touched pampered books at a used book store. In a giveaway, it's a free book. I wouldn't complain about a free book no matter what condition it is in. BTW a zippy bag of clean unused cat litter will get any smell off a book. Just put the book in the bag for about a week, also dryer sheets work great to. I learned those 2 factoids at a book con last year. I say go for it. Just be sure to let your followers know in the post that it is a used book you're giving away.
I've been meaning to read something by Hannah Howell for a long time. I think it is ok to give away used books as long as they are still in good condition.

Yep, I am with JeepDiva - it's free, so you can't really complain. But when I buy used books, I of course look for the ones in decent condition.
