Packed full of betrayal, secrets, deceit, ups, downs and
turmoil that makes the reader keep going to see what will happen next. A bit of
a slow start to it all and a touch confusing until all is revealed, really a
3.5 rating for me, but once it got going, it went full blast and non-stop
revealing much more than one would think possible!
Lena was running away from
a situation she did not ask for or deserve. Ending up in a town because of a
small fender bender, she has to stay for a bit while her car gets repaired.
Thankfully a woman named Julie helps her out with a place to stay, finding a
job, etc. Not wanting to stay long, but not having a choice and finding herself
unable to leave. She ends up makes friends, learning about witchcraft and
meeting a super sexy, irresistible guy named Alec.
Alec has a past he is not proud of. Living inside his very
own bubble of protection and being a cold, cruel and distant individual are the
defenses he has up to keep any from getting too close to him. He has avoided
getting close to another soul in order to avoid having to reveal the truth
about himself. But soon finds from the first day of meeting Lena
he’s compelled to her, like a moth to a flame. But how can he be with her
without her finding out his truth, then running away from him?
Any romance reader will enjoy the surprises revealed, shocks
to be had and finally the happily ever after we all crave :)
