I really got into this story once I fully understood what was going on with Arcona. There was love, action, sex, magic, history and more within and it’s a read that any paranormal, erotic and romance reader will enjoy to the very end as long as none mind a small scene of F/F and some anal play.

The time frame of the story goes from present to the past frequently, explaining what has happened in the past and what’s happening in the present. Two souls, one that has walked the planet for longer than one would like to admit and another that has been reborn some years before. They find each other by chance and while one does not recognize the other, there’s a constant chemistry, attraction and sexual hunger between them that oozes from the pages. Arcona and Tyr are two souls that have been meant to be for all time. But when one let’s revenge take over all feelings of their being and does not consider the circumstances. Where does that leave the other? Time does not cure all, but much is learned and put to good use to make things right, as it should be. Tyr is one dude I would not mind crossing paths with any time!

Part of what The Strix was about is another form of vampire, an introduction of it to us and how the very first came to exist. Then there’s the Strix and how she came to be from the beginning of time, with the knowledge of others after the very first. I especially enjoyed the story’s unpredictability and action (in various ways.) The growth and changes that both characters made and the ending. Once this book picked up, there was no stopping what unfolded :)
