Review of "Witch Heart" by Anya Bast

"Witch Heart" by Anya Bast:
Series: Elemental Witches Book #3
ISBN: 978-0425225530
Pages: 320

This is the third book in the Elemental Witches Series and by far my favorite. You should read the others in the series first or you may find yourself lost. Anya does a great job world building and really deepens the plot in this book. Claire was taken to the demon world when she was a little girl by her mother and she grew up there as a handmaiden and was experimented on to allow her to use all four elemental powers. When under attack Claire ends up being pushed through a portal with demon magic hiding inside of her. Two of the worst kind of demons follows her through the portal and nobody is powerful enough to defeat them but her. So now she is on the run in a world totally unknown to her and she’s unsure how to use this new demon magic inside of her. Adam is assigned to be her protector and is instantly attracted to her but he harbors some guilty feelings about his commitment to his deceased wife. Claire is inexperienced with men having only had one lover that was a demon and demons feel no emotion so she is not sure of her strange feelings for Adam. The chemistry between the two is too intense to ignore and they are forced to face their hidden secrets to be together. Just when you think it is hopeless and their facing an impossible situation it all works out nicely at the end. Anya really cranks up the suspense in this book. It was definitely a page turner from start to finish. This is a great series and I can't wait to get my hands on the last book.
