Book Club: October's Book Picks for Voting

Hello Everyone! It's that time to start voting for our October book club read. The voting will be running for 7 days and on September 1st we'll find out which book won so that you have a full month to get your copy of the book.

Ava and I have gotten together and very carefully picked books that we thought would be appropriate for the Halloween season. So lets see what we came up with.

Book #1

As I mentioned before we will always be re posting the book that got the second largest amount of votes from the previous month's poll and this is the book that came in second.

Devil of the Highlands
by: Lynsay Sands

The "New York Times"-bestselling author of the Argeneau Vampire series delivers a sexy blend of love, laughter, and mayhem in the wilds of the Scottish Highlands.

They call him the Devil . . .

He is the most notorious laird of Scotland: fierce, cold, deadly . . . and maybe even worse. Yet Evelinde has just agreed to wed him. Anything, she thinks, is better than her cruel stepmother. Though Evelinde should be wary of the rumors, she can't help but be drawn to this warrior . . . for the Devil of the Highlands inspires a heat within her that is unlike anything she has ever known.

They may call him whatever they wish, but Cullen, Laird of Donnachaidh, cares only for the future of his clan. He must find a wife, a woman to bear him sons and heed his commands. He has no need for beauty or grace, but one taste of his lovely bride's sweet lips and the sultry feel of her skin arouse an untamed passion. Perhaps there's more to marriage than he thought . . .

Book #2

We wanted to offer a book by Eve Langlais because she is an amazing writer but most of her books are novellas so we came up with the FUC Bundle which is a bundle of three books in her furry coalition series. For more information on each story included click on the links below.

Furry United Coalition Bundle
by: Eve Langlais

Genre: Paranormal/Shapeshifter/Humorous Romance

It started with an energetic bunny and a grumpy bear. It continued with a geeky swan and her playboy bear. And then we encountered an ornery croc who couldn't help falling for a foxy lady.

The three F.U.C. stories you've come to love are now available in one handy bundle. Hours of romantic and humorous entertainment. Contains previously released stories:

  • Bunny and the Bear
  • Swan and the Bear
  • Croc and the Fox

  • Book #3

    Dead Witch Walking
    by: Kim Harrison

All the creatures of the night gather in "the Hollows" of Cincinnati, to hide, to prowl, to party...and to feed.

Vampires rule the darkness in a predator-eat-predator world rife with dangers beyond imagining - and it's Rachel Morgan's job to keep that world civilized.

A bounty hunter and witch with serious sex appeal and an attitude, she'll bring 'em back alive, dead...or undead.

    Book #4

    Vampire Vacation
    by: C.J. Ellisson

Meet Vivian. She's a 580-year-old vampire who exudes sex, has a talent for drama, and is passionate about two things: her human husband, Rafe, and their resort for the undead. Her ability to project physical illusions has created the perfect vacation spot a dark, isolated Alaskan hideaway where visitors can have their wildest fantasies come true.

Vivian knows the best performance requires perfect timing, but the powerful vamp is put to the test when she discovers a corpse in a locked guestroom minutes before the next arrivals. Always cool-headed, Rafe hides the body, convinced he and Vivian can find the culprit without disturbing their guests.

Juggling the increasingly outrageous demands of their customers while tracking a killer isn't easy. Will their poking and prodding give them the answers they need, or will it uncover secrets Vivian would kill to protect?

Warning: This story contains some explicit sex scenes and is not intended for readers under 18.
