Goodreads Blurb:
Timid and shy, in her wildest dreams, Allie never imagined Alex would look at her with anything more than friendship and maybe a little pity in his eyes. As if living a nightmare, one horrible night Allie is attacked, and Alex comes rushing to her rescue. He wonders if he is really needed when he finds a little hellcat fighting off her attacker. Much later that night, Alex holds that little hellcat in his arms. Months later, he runs into Allie again, and he barely recognizes her. She's no longer the shy little wallflower she had once been. Problem is…she doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with him. Allie's about to find out that he's the only man guaranteed to make her wildest dreams come true. Melina had lived her life in her older, selfish twin's shadow until the final deceit forced her to refocus on her own life. But the past has not been forgotten by Luc Jardin. Now, kidnapped and at the mercy of a man with a grudge, Melina must learn to accept the past as well as her attraction to the arrogant rancher. Just as Luc must learn to accept that, sometimes, things are not always as they seem

Darcy's Review:
This was a fun book with 2 quick stories with some very hot sex scenes. I will warn you that this book isn't for the faint of heart.

In Walker's story we have the cop. Allie is the girl who no one notices, always in the background, the definition of wallflower, one who gets shocked out of the rut that she has let herself get into after almost being killed one night. With this wake up call she quits letting people walk all over her and lets her friend give her a make over. This is just the beginning for her. Allie definitely knows what she wants and it is Alex, her brother's best friend, she has loved him forever but never let herself even think anything could happen. This story has a little story at the beginning but then quickly evolved into page after page of sex scene, which I normally get tired of, but this time around it didn't bother me. Allie very much let her desires be known and it included everything and anything including a rape fantasy, which is something that I don't go for, but it was written in a good way, where both parties knew it was for play.

Leigh's story deals with characters that are in the same series as the August brothers, one of them even shows up. There were aspects of this one that turned me off. Luc kidnaps Melina, by her brothers orders, but he has a bone to pick with her for antics from 2 years before, or at least he thinks he does, his rift is really with Melina's twin, who is the biggest piece of crap I have seen in a book ever. This mistaken identity really causes you to not like Luc and it is hard for him to work his way back into your good graces, not to mention Melina's.

I have to say that Walker's story was the stronger of the two of them, but both are good and worth reading.
