Review: "Bedeviled Angel"

"Bedeviled Angel" by Annette Blair
Series: Works Like Magick #2
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Pages: 277
ISBN: 9780425235973
Author's website: http://annetteblair.com

Goodreads Blurb:
At the Works Like Magick employment Agency in Salem, Massachusetts, matching clients in need with magical temps is a piece of cake, especially since sexy Chance Gordricson also happens to be heaven-sent. He's Kenya Saint-Denis's guardian angel. And when he's hired to keep an eye on her and the two surrogate children she's become saddled with, he just might fall prey to temptation.

Darcy's Review:
This is a tough one to rate as for part of the book is was so sweet, cheesy and schmaltzy that it drove me nuts, but then again those same qualities are what this author does best, this time around it was so hit or miss through the book. The beginning of the book was more miss, but the last half of the book was so much better. I am not sure if it was because by then I got used to it or if the book really was better.

Queisha (hated the name), is such a contrast, at times she was a fun free spirit that you wanted for your best friend, at other times she has so many issues it drives you nuts, but overall you liked her. She was just what was needed for the twins she inherited. Watching her with her sense of wonder and play with them was her saving grace.

I wasn't too sure of Chance from the start, his story didn't make sense and was slightly confusing. Once you got past that he was fun to read, slightly spastic and his whole loosing his feathers, and the whoomping of his wings was hilarious. His interaction with the twins was so great, he would have won over anyone.

Like all of this author's books there were the clever t-shirts with great sayings, this time around they were much more pg oriented and we also had lots of puns with the male anatomy.

Hmm, I've had this one on my wish list for a while - I might move it down the list. :)

Thanks for the review.

I love angel books but maybe I'll give this one a miss.

I love your countdown clocks on here. Is there anyway I can make them for free? I'd rather not have to buy the pro version of widgetbox countdown. I want to make one for Nora Roberts' new book that's coming out in November.

@ Kate, I didn't make mine. So I don't know about making your own. I got mine for free. Maybe you should just look up the Nora Roberts' book and see if there is one already. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
