Halloween Spooktacular Day 14

Fun Halloween Interview

Hi Danielle, thank you so much for inviting me today. My name is Sophia but I am probably better known as my alter ego Fiction Vixen. I write the blog Fiction Vixen Book Reviews along with a few of my friends, Catherine, Amy, Juliana and Samantha.

  1. What is your favorite part of Halloween?

That’s easy, free candy. J Actually I like the costumes. My kids like pretty princess costumes for now but hopefully in the coming years I can pry them out of the pink and into the spooky fun costumes.

  1. Even though you are now an adult do you still dress up?

I haven’t dressed up for Halloween in a long time. I guess you could attribute it to pure laziness. I’m pretty much content to stay home and hand out candy to the kids.

  1. What has been your favorite costume you’ve worn?

One year my best friend and I went to a Halloween party dressed as dice. It was an easy costume to put together, it looked great but it didn’t occur to us we wouldn’t be able to sit down all night. Or comfortably go to the bathroom.

  1. What’s your favorite Halloween Candy?

I like sour candy; I’m not much of a chocolate fiend. So sweet tarts, lemon heads, runts, smarties, stuff like that. I leave the chocolate for my kids and hubby.

  1. Do you enjoy being scared such as participating in haunted trails or mazes?

NO! I will trample small children in order to get to safety if I think a zombie is after me. Just know that if you plan to hang around with me on Halloween. Protection your children, you have been warned.

  1. If you could recommend a book that you feel would be great to read for Halloween which would you recommend?

That’s really hard for me since I’m primarily a romance reader. Horror is just not my thing. I do read my share of paranormal romance though. I recently read the Entangled Anthology and all the stories in there have a Halloween theme plus the proceeds from the sales of the book go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. So I’d say that would be a great read for Halloween.

  1. Share with us your scariest, funniest or most embarrassing memory from Halloween.

When I was about 10 years old I decided I was brave enough to go to the scariest haunted house in our town. I went in with my BFF and 10 seconds in we both knew it was a HUGE mistake, and we wanted out. But no, once you were in, you were in so we decided to run for it. We ran into a couple ahead of us and both of us literally climbed this couple, while we screeched and screamed and yes, there might have been a tear or two shed. They had to pry us off of them and carry us out. Humiliation was the word of the night. We only laughed about it years later. J

I'll be purchasing a $10.00(USD) gift card from Amazon US for the winner. I think you could use it to buy eBooks as long as there are not geo restrictions.

You're braver than me! I avoid haunted houses completely. I started to go in one and found out it was one where they were actually allowed to touch you. That freaked me out enough never to even step inside.
