I’ve been fascinated by fangs and fur since I first watched Lon Chaney Jr. transform into the wolfman. Horror movies fed my fantasies and led me to start writing my own stories about tortured heroes and imperiled heroines. My paranormal romances can be MF, MM, MFM or MMM but they all have one thing in common - dark, seductive alpha male heroes. You know the type. They’re sinfully good-looking, a bit arrogant and capable of bestowing multiple orgasms at a moment’s notice, lethal predators one minute and possessive, protective lovers the next. What’s not to like?
We all need to escape our stressful lives once in a while and what better way than between the covers – of a good book. Larger than life characters are fun to read about and provide an entertaining out of this world escape. They don’t exist in the real world but maybe they can provide some inspiration for a little romantic role play in our real lives. Halloween is coming and this year I’m getting hubby a wolf costume and practicing my howl. Real men can be pretty terrific too.

The pack Alpha has plans for the human male drinking in the Wolf Den and he orders Kade, his enforcer, to seduce Noah. EXCERPT
The security guard standing by the entrance to the Wolf Den looked like a cartoon character on steroids, but this was no fictional hero, and Noah had a sinking feeling all those massive muscles were one hundred percent genetics. Geez, are they all this big? He'd never been up close and personal with a Lycan before—except in his dreams, and now he realized he'd underestimated the shifters' size and strength. This guy looked like he could throw Noah through a bulletproof window.
Sasquatch checked Noah out from head to toe, spit a wad of tobacco, narrowly missing his new boots, and smirked. "Fresh meat." Then he stood aside, opened the door, and waved him in.
Christ, is that growling? The sounds of a dogfight drowned out the throbbing beat of dance music. Right then, Noah wanted to turn tail and run. He didn't belong here. Swallowing hard, he took a deep breath and thought about it. The whole idea was dumb; he never should have let Jesse get under his skin. He and his boyfriend were hammered after a weekend of nonstop drinking. They ended up trading fuckticious stories to get off, each one more farfetched than the last. He and Jesse had been together two years, and sometimes they needed a little help to spice things up. The fantasies were harmless. They did it all the time, no big deal.
But too many beers had loosened Noah's tongue and he shared a secret desire he'd harbored for a long time—getting fucked by a werewolf. Jesse never minded a little innocent drooling over ungetable celebrities or cover models, but evidently Lycans were another story, a little too close to home.
His lover had gotten that telltale vein throbbing in his forehead and Noah had sensed trouble in paradise. Jesse wouldn't let him change the subject. He dared Noah to go for the real thing if he wanted it so bad, or at least get within spitting distance of a real wolf-shifter. No matter how Noah tried to back off, Jesse was like a dog worrying a bone; he just couldn't let it go. Finally Noah got really pissed and gave in just to shut him up. And to make matters worse, he'd agreed to bring back a souvenir as proof. Now he was about to walk into the middle of a wild wolf pack and it looked like Jesse's proof might be Noah's carcass, left on their doorstep like a side of beef.

Great stories for me are those that feature larger than life stories. I definitely agree that books provide escape.
