Spooktacular Day 18: Spooky Interview with author Gabrielle Bisset

What kind of Halloween person are you? Dress up and party every year, give out candy maybe dressed up, or hide inside your house with the porch light off?
It depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I'm into dressing up, but other times I like to treat the kiddies to candy. I'm never a porch light off person, though. No Halloween grinching for me.

Do you decorate outside for Halloween?
I do. Well, to be more correct, my son does. This year he has the white fence lit up with orange lights and autumn garland, along with three huge spiders highlighted with a green flood light.

Find a picture of a costume you love.

Adult costumes are usually about being bizarre or sexy, but children's costumes, especially those for babies, can be so cute. I love children, and even though I don't have a baby in the house anymore, I still enjoy seeing baby Halloween costumes. I love the Pillsbury Doughboy costume on this baby. It's adorable!

Tell us the scariest thing that has ever happened to you and it doesn’t have to be Halloween related.
When I was a kid, my friend and I were chased by this crazy man who used to have a stuffed dummy dragging behind his car from his trunk. He chased us to a dead end one time and she hid in the bushes, but I didn't make it in time. He cornered me and for some reason, didn't do anything but stare at me. I was terrified! The really scary part is years later he murdered a woman at a catering business near my hometown and is on death row now still. I still get chills thinking about what could have happened that night.

Do you like haunted houses or mazes?
I love mazes! Going to one is one of the best things to do in the fall. At the end, there's always cider or hot chocolate. Mmmmm.  I'm not as big a fan of haunted houses. I scare too easily.

Do you believe in ghosts?
Absolutely! Just the idea scares the daylights out of me, though. I have to believe they aren't all scary, though. Let's hope, at least.

What is your favorite Halloween tradition?
I love to make some cider with cinnamon and hand out treats to the neighborhood kids.

What is your favorite Halloween movie to watch or are you a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown sort?
I love Charlie Brown, so I'm definitely a Great Pumpkin kind of person. Who doesn't love that naive but fervent believer, Linus?

The Sons of Navarus series continues...

I am everything you seek. I am vampire.

Blessed with the gift of telepathy, Terek always knows what a woman wants. His gift has afforded him nightly sensual pleasures and exotic treats for centuries, but beneath the surface he yearns for much more.

Ilona can give him what his soul craves, but only if he trusts his heart. One fateful choice made out of desire puts all he cares for in danger. With a civil war and the threat of Archon hunters at every turn, this Son may lose everything if he can't find the balance between heart and mind.

That is a fun interview guys!!! Great costume choice too! I am a hard core 'Sons' fan and thought Blood Spirit was just excellent, but then again, I loved all the books and can't wait for Blood Prophecy!!
